Notable Games: Opening day the Wolves upset the Bucks scoring 116 to the Bucks 106. James Whitfield surprised everyone by scoring a very efficient 21 points, going to the free throw line 9 times in total.

The second game of the season the Wolves upset Houston this time Whitfield scored 31 points.

Overall despite early success the team went 6-11 in December. There is marked improvement in the team, everyone is giving a full effort every game. Fan attendance is up due to the excitement of having so many promising young players.

Notable Games: The T-Wolves beat Sacramento 120-111, Tennell having his best game as a pro yet scoring 22 points and netting 13 assists.

The T-Wolves upset the surging Spurs beating them 116-108, with Tennell having another terrific game scoring 24 and getting 9 assists.

Overall the month was a disaster the T-Wolves fell to 8-20. This will be a long but interesting season.

The Timberwolves fell to 12-34. Again having a horrible month. James Whitfield is scoring a lot of points but he is jacking up a lot of shots. I don't like this kind of player. I am quite happy with the progress of Shang-de Toeh and Travis Tannell but Justin Henderson and Whitfield so far for me have been disappointments. Other teams see massive potential in these players so I might attempt to get some value out of them.

...Next trades/all-star break.

Trades:

Both impatient with Whitfield's refusal to stop chucking the ball and intrigued by the option of trading him(his high scoring for a rookie and flashes of offensive genius make him very appealing.)

The perfect offer came up

The New Jersey Nets get
James Whitfield
2nd round pick (2013)
2nd round pick (2014)

The Timberwolves get
Anthony Morrow
1st round pick (2012)

Winner: In my opinion the Wolves come out as the winner, the Wolves get an absolute maniac 3pt shooter, which is something they are lacking + they get a pick(lottery protected) The Nets get more talent, but they now have the job of turning all of that talent into something useful.

Notable Games
Anthony Morrow scored 33 against the Mavericks in a dramatic come from behind victory winning 117-116. Morrow went 13-16 with 4-6 on 3 point shots.

The Wolves also beat the Lakers in a stunning upset winning 103-88, although no Wolf scored more than 17 points there were many great performances.

Overall record in February is 16-41. The team played much better after the acquisition of Morrow.

March 2012

The T-Wolves went through a rough stretch in March, some of the rookies were notably fatigued, as none have been used to the grind of a full nba season. The record stands at 20-52 at the end of the season. Only one more win is needed to surpass last year's win total.

The Wolves went on a late season surge to end the year with a 24-58 record. The team was usually outmatched this season, but many players learned a lot and progressed as players, next year the team will undoubtedly improve their record yet again. In my opinion the rebuild process is working out fairly well.
