Our second try at the NCAA Tornament is short. We are seeded 7th in the Syracuse bracket. We face #10 seed Kansas St. We controlled the rebounding most of the season, but not against Kansas St. They outrebounded us 38-24. The Wildcats led 30-27 at halftime. Their defense smothered us the second half and we weren't able to get back in it. They held Peper to 6 of 25 shooting. He had 14 pts, 8 rebs. Lopez had 10 pts.

The board wanted us to win at least 15 games and the conference tournament. Well we went 24-6, one more win than last year, but fail to win the tournament.

Even though I've had some success in my 5 years at UCA (97-52, NIT once, NCAA Tournament twice, moved from V to S conference), being at such a small school I am fairly unknown on the nation scale. Only four colleges would consider allowing me to be head coach. I don't really want any of those jobs, so I decide to return for another year at UCA.

We have two recruits sign LOI. Clyde Curry a 6-9 PF HS SR from Mississippi. He is ranked 423 nationally. The other is Jerry Smith, a 6-4 SG HS SR from Oklahoma. He is ranked 309 nationally.

I ask the board to upgrade the facilities. They actually say yes! It's about time. We are now at C-.

Our prestige rises to 12.

What was the school's prestige when you started? (I looked back but couldn't find it.)

It's always nice to get a facilities upgrade since that will give you more of an advantage when playing at home.

Peper's a case where it would be interesting to also be playing DDSPB to see how he does in the pro's.

We started with a prestige of 2. Last season we were 11.

Yeah, I would like to follow Peper's career. But I am only playing the college game.
