We have four scholarships and get 4 early verbal commitments. All our recuits this season come from in state. We have had trouble finding people who wanted to come here and play in the past, having to rely a lot on transfers and walkons. That seems to be changing and people actually want to be a UCA Bear now. This is the first year we've filled all our spots with recruits.

Tim Hill is a 6-6 PF HS SR from Barton, Ar. He looks like an average player who is athlectic. I may end up moving him to SF.

Jim Allocco, 7-1 C HS SR from Bald Knob, Ar. He is the tallest player we have ever had. Looks like he should be able to score a lot of points for us in the post.

Erwin Morant, 6-3 SG HS SR from North Little Rock, Ar. Another athlectic type player.

Tim Roma, 6-3 PG HS SR from Ft Smith, Ar. Looks like he should be an excellent passer and ball handler who can provide some outside scoring. I'm happy to get him because his parents went to Arkansas St and in past years they keep stealing our recruts. Take that Red Wolves!

Nov 14 Western Michigan @ Central Arkansas
We open up our season at home against L Conference Western Michigan. I'm anxious to see how we will perform with Peper no longer around. We did a great job offensively, shooting 59% and 71% from 3. We led 50-38 at the half. We continue our good play and get an easy victory over the Broncos. O'Kelley was our top scorer with 25 pts. He also had 6 asts. Smith had 16 pts, 7 rebs. Lopez had 11 pts, 3 stls. Lewis had 10 pts.
Final score: Central Arkansas 91 Western Michigan 64

Nov 17 UC San Diego 0-1 @ Central Arkansas 1-0
The Tritons come to Conway and play us tough the first half. We led 37-36 at halftime. The second half they make too many turnovers and allow us another easy victory. Smith had 14 pts, 7 rebs. Lewis had 13 pts. Lopez had 12 pts. O'Kelley had 9 pts, 9 asts. Lewis injured his ankle in the game and Byron Judd, our transfer from Jacksonville, filled in and had 12 pts. Lewis will probably miss the next 2 or 3 games.
Final score: Central Arkansas 82 UC San Diego 57

Good going on the recruiting front. They sure do grow 'em big in Bald Knob. Maybe Tim Roma's parents did go to Ark St, but I sure do like his Dad's (Tony Roma's) ribs.

Nov 21 Central Arkansas 2-0 @ Arkansas-Little Rock 2-0
We take the easy 30 min. trip down I-40 to take on our closest in state rival. Our defense gets us a good lead in the 1st half and led 39-24. The Trojans rally the second half but they never catch us. O'Kelley had 22 pts, 8 rebs. Judd had 11 pts. Lopez had 10 pts, 6 stls. Smith had 10 pts, 9 rebs.
Final score: Central Arkansas 63 Arkansas-Little Rock 56

Nov 24 Central Arkansas 3-0 @ Lipscomb 1-2
This was quite a battle all the way. We led 31-30 at the half. The second half ended tied at 63. Good shooting in overtime secures us the victory. O'Kelley had 22 pts, 6 asts. Lopez had 16 pts. Smith had 13 pts. Judd had 12 pts.
Final score: Central Arkansas 83 Lipscomb 73

Nov 28 Northern Iowa 1-3 @ Central Arkansas 4-0
Good rebounding allowed us to build up a 20 pt lead in the first half. The half ended 45-27. We didn't play as well the second half and let them get back in it, but we managed to hang on and get the win. O'Kelley had 22 pts. Lopez had 11 pts, 7 rebs.
Final score: Central Arkansas 71 Northern Iowa 66

Dec 1 Central Arkansas 5-0 @ Albany 1-4
Good rebounding and defense is our key to this game. We led 36-22 at the half. My slacked off the second half, but did enough to get another easy win. Lopez had 23 pts. O'Kelley had 20 pts. Lewis had 10 pts. Smith had 9 rebs.
Final score: Central Arkansas 75 Albany 60

Dec 5 San Diego 3-2 @ Central Arkansas 6-0
The Toreros hot shooting allowed them to led 46-34 at halftime. We came out ready to play the second half and dominated. O'Kelley had 23 pts. Smith had 15 pts. Lewis had 14 pts.
Final Score: Central Arkansas 60 San Diego 70

Dec 8 Central Arkansas 7-0 @ UNLV 2-2
We take the long trip to Las Vegas. The Runnin Rebels defense shuts us down in the first half. They led 40-15 at the half. We played better but couldn't cut into their lead. UNLV hands us our first loss. O'Kelley was our only player in double figures with 23 pts.
Final score: UNLV 78 Central Arkansas 50
