Jimmy Gipson did such a good job filling in after Knight strained his ankle, we decided to shuffle the lineup to get him more playing time. So we’ll now be starting Gipson, Knight, Banta, Dryden and Brown, with Scott Kidd shifting to play second-string shooting guard, where his height might be an advantage.

Season Summary
We finished the regular season in a four-way tie for last in the conference, and our miserable RPI (304th) puts us in last after all the tiebreakers. Only the top four teams in the OVC get to play in the conference tournament, so we didn’t even come close to qualifying. Our season’s over, we failed at our only goal, and it’s only onward and upward from here. We sat through March watching 132 teams who weren’t ours playing in the postseason, and I knew that’s where I want our team in the coming years. We are going to be good enough to make the conference tourney, and we’ll go from there to earn invites elsewhere. We won’t be unknown and miserable for long!

Hey, you've started a CB2 dynasty...great! Saw you had Kidd starting at PG and thought it was Jason, then saw it was his 48th cousin 15 times removed, Scott Kidd. Now I can see why you moved him to the bench.

A school prestige of 2,huh? That sort of makes it easy to agree with your "only onward and upward" comment. :D

I just thought it was cool that SIUE is in the game -- I hadn't realized they'd gone D1 ... back fourteen years ago when I started applying for college, their representative had really impressed me when he came out to the high school. I could have easily ended up there and not at Ball State where I eventually turned up ;)
