Who is Gardner Webb in DDS:CB2? Can't figure it out. If you mentioned the conference I missed it.

Located in Boiling Springs, NC. They play in the Big South. Team prestige of 18 conference prestige of 20. I wanted to start low, but not TOO low. This turned out to be a pretty good fit, because at least I inherited a lot of guys that can run. Now if they can play basketball... that's another story, lol.

Not sure what their default name is. And yeah, a 6'10 286 center rated B for athleticism is a rare combination, but exactly the kind of guy I was looking for for this team.

Gotta be Boiling Springs in the Great South. Just checked, since I'm in DDS right now. "Boiling Springs"... gee, that name would make me want to move there!

Too hot for me, as my next post on my dynasty will show. The politics would have me in a straight jacket if they didn't lynch me.

Our first exhibition against Grand Valley St. was encouraging. We lost 82-74 in OT, but the final score was irrelevant, especially with us giving everyone equal minutes and them playing a 2-3 zone throughout.

The Good: We were able to control the tempo and shot a respectable 45.5 % against their zone and 8-18 from 3, so it does appear we have some shooters. We also had 8 steals and turned them over 15 times. We also hung in with them on the boards.

The Bad: we turned the ball over 17 times ourselves which is way too many, even in an OT game. Our guards need to get better at chasing after those long rebounds on offense as well.

Individually I was impressed by our guards Lemeke and Gilchrist who combined for 25 points in 31 minutes. Gilchrist in particular seems to be a sharpshooter going a perfect 5 for 5 from the field. Center Josh Brown had 5 points and 8 rebounds in 15 minutes, but needs to get into better conditioning. As a group our big men did a pretty good job on the boards but the guards need to help out.

Thanks, Wayne. We'll see how it goes going forward now that I have a better idea of who can play, and who is best used as a doorstop. I hate it though when the teams I play in exhibition use a zone lol. You can't get a clear idea of how well people have learned your offensive sets.
