End of the regular season:
@ Wyoming W 73-72
Little defense played in this one, and zero help off the bench. Nate Betts hit a 3 at the buzzer to pull it out.
SAN DIEGO ST. W 87-60
#20 AIR FORCE W 69-58
@ TCU L 47-61
Horrible game. Only Travann Ohl (17 pts, 12 rebs, 2 stls, 2 blocks) came ready to play. He tried to put us on his back but couldn't do it by himself and there was no help to be found anywhere.
COLORADO ST. W 70-48
@ Boise St. W 84-66
UNLV W 75-48
Bracket Buster: CENTRAL MICHIGAN W 74-53
Deja vu

We finish conference season 13-1 and win top seed by 3 games. We finish the regular season 22-6, Ranked #6 with an RPI of 2...good enough for an 8 seed if we win the conference tournament. Otherwise we'll probably be one of the 12 seed play-ins.

Air Force wilted and finished the conference season a disappointing 7-7 in 4th place. There RPI still reamains at 32, however, with a 19-10 record, and still have a chance at an at large if they get their heads together in the conference tournament. Wyoming 17-11, and TCU 16-12 still remain in the hunt for tournament play if they make a decent showing in Vegas. 6 teams won at least 14 games in the MWC this year, making it a much improved conference record over-all than last year.

MWC Tournament:

Boise St. W 95-61
Air Force W 83-63
UNLV W 75-54

We head into Selection Sunday at 25-6 Ranked #4 and #2 in RPI. With a little luck we may get seeded in the top half of the field. We know from experience not to expect any more than that from the drugged up selection committee.

Interesting, the Big 10 Tournament Champion Illinois is in a 16 seed play in game! I never thought I'd live to see that happen! No doubt there will be plenty of Big 10 teams selected as at large teams however. Surprisingly Air Force still gets in in one of the 12 seed play in games against Indiana.

Duke is 1 seed in Raleigh. Arizona is the 1 seed in Detroit, UConn is the 1 seed in Nashville, Missouri is the 1 seed in Spokane where we get the 3 seed and will play Mcneese st. in the first round. I wonder... are we supposed to be thankful? The West does at least appear to be the weakest of the regionals, so at least there is that.

Wyoming gets invited to the NIT and will play Dayton.
TCU will face off in the CIT against Wisconsin.

Big 10 as a play in? No, that's just wrong. Gary, this needs a look.

actually it was accurate, Wayne. Illinois somehow won the Big 10 tourney after finishing next to last in the conference and a losing record overall. Regular Season champion Purdue is a 3 seed and the other top 4 finishers rec'd at larges in addition to 5th place Indiana's 12 seed play in. The Illini really were one of the worst 4 automatic qualifiers, but it's amazing that the committee saw it that way!

Air Force defeats Indiana in the 12 seed play in, and Wyoming beats Dayton in the NIT first round.

Air Force loses by one to Dayton in Thursdays 1st round action, and Wyoming gets stomped on at Oklahoma St. TCU lost in the first round of the CIT to Wisconsin, and we are already the lone MWC team still playing.

I think it's really cool that CB did this (with respect to Illinois).
