, 11, 4, 1, 2 for Smog, 8, 3, 2 for Alt.

3/26: 86-60.

, 10, 2, 2 for camp, 9, 5, 1, 2 for Smog.

The rest of the season

Postby Wayne23 » Mon Aug 19, 2013 4:50 am

#12 ranked, #3 seed, 26-9, 10-6 Maryland. We won by only 6 at their place early. They finished 3rd, lost in the final round. Plenty of talent. C is all American. Their bench caused us all kinds of problems last time.

4/1: 81-57. We shut down both their C and their bench, and we played great D.

+6, -5, 57-33%, fouls 17-7.

56, 11, 3, 1, 5 for Ali who played only 29 minutes and fouled out. 13, 4, 3 for Smog, 4, 7, 1, 1 for Camp.

Rematch with Duke for the title. They’re #1 in the nation, 36-2, 15-1, won their conf. and tourney. We won by 9 there. Ali played only 25 min. due to fouls. They have 6 excellent players but no true PG.

4/3: 9 points again, 80-71. They went up by 17 in the first and we got it to 10 at halftime. We made a couple adjustments and the 2nd half was all ours.

-4, -2, 57-45%, fouls 15-18.

63, 13, 1, 0, 5 for Ali, 7, 2, 1 for Fark.

Three titles in a row, 101 straight wins.

4/4: Awards: Ali swept the best player awards and made the 1st team. In conf. he won everything too. I got Conf. Coach of the Year. I thought Camp might make 2nd team but he didn’t.

4/9: A couple of interesting job offers but I’m not leaving. Now next year…

4/16: No staff vacancies.

4/23: Asking for facilities upgrade. Approved, A-. I’m surprised.

4/30: End of the season. Ali led the nation in scoring but only 56.1 ppg, down from the last 2 years. He also led in FG %, FT % (more than 1000 straight), 3 point % (higher than FG %), and blocks, 3rd in RBs.

The team led in PPG, assists, FG %, FT %. 3 point %.

My numbers: Off. 66, Def. 72, Recruit 68, Scout 53, Player Dev. 69, Reputation 72. We’ve won 101 in a row.
Hoping to go undefeated and make it 4 straight titles, then take a job where I can end my career making some big $. I turn 59 tomorrow so I’d like to coach maybe 6 more years.

Getting ready for Ali's Senior year

Postby Wayne23 » Wed Aug 21, 2013 2:36 pm

5/1: National Basic, East Gold. Preseason #24.

6/26: (Since I don’t care the CPU will handle recruiting)

8/7: Ali is #1 on the Norton List.

9/18: We have a schedule, 7 ranked teams plus the Alaskan Classic.

10/2: 1st day of practice, lineup is set. Picked to win the conf.

10/23: We’re picked #6 in the latest poll.

11/2: First exhibition is vs. So. Car. St. Again, I will not play Ali.
33-27 at the half.

74-56 at the end. -6, +11, 51-36%, fouls 18-12.

11/7: Second exhibition is vs. So. Car. St. 28-17 at the half.

55-65. -6, even, 38-42%, fouls 16-14.

The only change is giving Dave more minutes.

A good start vs. some tough teams

Postby Wayne23 » Thu Aug 22, 2013 2:26 am

We start the season at #11 Maryland. Not much to go on but they look strong at 1, 4, 5 but not much beyond that. We’ll see. The win streak is at 101.

11/16: Close for the first half but we exploded out of the locker room in the 2nd, 83-65.

44, 11, 2, 1, 5 for Ali
, 10, 8, 2 for Thom at PF, 8, 3, 3, 3 for Smog at SG, 6, 2, 7, 2 for Loft at PG.

Illinois, 0-1, is here for our home debut. They lost to Northern Iowa!

11/19: 85-44.

49, 10, 1, 3, 4 for Ali
, 8, 4, 2, 1 for Thom, 9 for Dave from the bench.

At #2, 4-0 North Carolina. They’ve beaten 2 top 10 teams. SG is world class, weak at SF. We think we can turn them over. It won’t be an easy game though, these guys can play.

11/23: 75-55. Much easier than I would have thought.

46, 7, 6, 5, 3 for Ali
, 8, 3, 2 for Thom, 8 for Lamb.

Off to the Alaskan Classic.

The Alaskan Classic

Postby Wayne23 » Thu Aug 22, 2013 2:40 am

1st up is 2-1 Brigham Young. Very good SG but not much else.

11/25: 80-53.

50, 8, 2, 2, 3 for Ali
, 6, 7, 3, 2 for Camp, 6, 8 for Thom.

#7 seed Air Force, 2-4, upset #2 seed Charlotte so they’re next. Not an impressive team.

11/26: 85-57, held them to 11 in the 1st half.

47, 8, 2, 2, 4 for Ali, 11, 5, 1 for Camp.

#11, RPI #6.

It’s #1 seed, #21 ranked, 5-0 Boston College for the title. They haven’t played anyone.

11/27: 92-67.

47, 15, 4, 0, 5 for Ali
, 15, 6, 4, 1 for Smog, 7, 10 for Camp, 8, 1, 1, 1, 1 for Lamb.

9-0, not being challenged

Postby Wayne23 » Thu Aug 22, 2013 3:02 am

At #4 Georgia Tech, 5-1. Excellent at 1, 2 and 5 but it goes downhill quickly after that. Only loss was to #1 Kansas but then that’s the only decent team they’ve played.

11/30: 98-57. Who’s going to beat us? We’re crushing the best teams in the country.

53, 11, 4, 1 for Ali, 7, 4, 2, 1, 1 for Camp, 8 each for Loft and Gain.

#24 Auburn, 5-2, is in. Played 2 good teams, crushed by both.

12/3: 85-56.

49, 13, 3, 1, 2 for Ali
, 12, 1, 3 for Smog, 7, 11, 1 for Thom, 7, 3, 7 for Lamb.

#5, RPI #1.

2-2 Iowa State is in.
Tough schedule. They have some inside game.

12/7: 89-48.

52, 10, 1 for Ali
, 10, 2, 3, 2 for Smog.

9-0. Ali leads in points, but is only averaging 48.6.

12-0

Postby Wayne23 » Fri Aug 23, 2013 3:56 am

At #16, 6-2 Georgetown. 3 very good players but they have an SF playing the Point.

12/10: 77-50.

43, 17, 5, 1, 6 for Ali,
11, 2, 4 for Smog, 7, 8, 1 for Camp, 9 for Lamb.

4-4 Miami is in. 3 bad losses, no impressive wins.

12/14: 96-66.

53, 14, 4, 2, 1 for Ali
, 8 for Walk, 7 each for Thom, Camp, Lamb, 6 each for Smog and Loft.

Next three are road games vs. ranked teams.

At #8, 9-2 Wake Forest.
3 good wins, 1 bad loss. They have some guys who can play but they turn it over.

12/17: 71-58. We led by as many as 28 and the game was not as close as the final score.

52, 14, 1, 0, 2 for Ali, 6, 3, 2 for Lamb.

On to the conference

Postby Wayne23 » Fri Aug 23, 2013 4:28 am

At #16, 7-1 Syracuse. 1-1 vs. ranked teams but a weak schedule. Weak at 3 and 4 and not solid with the ball.

12/21: 97-77.

50, 12, 8, 4, 1 for Ali
, 10, 3 for Thom, 9 each for Camp and Smog.

Lamb went down and hit his head pretty hard. Day to day.

At #14 Arizona, 8-4. 1-4 vs. ranked teams. Strong inside.

12/24: 86-62.

56, 16, 2, 1, 3 for Ali
, 11, 5, 1 for Smog.

We ran through those three ranked teams.

Last pre-conference game at home with 6-5 UNLV. Not as good as the teams we’ve been playing.

12/28: 75-42.

42, 10, 3, 3, 2 for Ali
, 8 for Smog, 6 each for Thom and Lamb.

We finish the pre-conf. season at 15-0.

Ali leads in PPG and FG% but both are down. He’s #3 in RBs, #5 in blocks.

The team is #1 in PPG, FG %. We don’t seem quite as dominant this year but we’ve beaten 9 top 25 teams, 2 in the top 5, and the closest margin was 13.

10-5, 1-1 Princeton is in.

1/11: 89-60.

58, 11, 1, 0, 1 for Ali
, 9, 4, 4, 1, 1 for Smog, 7, 1, 4, 1 for Lamb.

6-0 in conf.

Postby Wayne23 » Sat Aug 24, 2013 3:32 am

At 4-12, 1-2 Yale.

1/14: 94-77
, closer than expected though never really a game.

50, 10, 3, 0, 4 for Ali, 14, 2, 1, 1 for Thom, 13, 0, 6, 2 for Loft, 9, 5, 2, 4, 2 for Camp.

At 7-10, 2-2 Brown.

1/18: 64-39
, a VERY low score for us.

42, 19, 3, 5, 9 for Ali. I don’t remember him getting 9 blocks in any other game. 9, 2, 1 for Smog, 11 RBs for Camp.

8-10, 4-1 Penn is in, the only team just 1 game back.

1/21: 82-43.

58, 10, 2, 1, 3 for Ali Rice
, 7, 6, 3 for Loft.

We are now the only undefeated team in Div. I, 21-0, 6-0. Still #3, #1.
