2nd Round NCAA Tournament VS. (7) Brigham Young (22-10)

The game was very hotly contested in the first half, until North Carolina Central went after BYU's Achilles Heel: Turnovers. NC Central forced 11 turnovers in the first half alone. However, NCCU was still down by 1 at the half.

The second half saw NC Central take the lead and never give it up, winning 79-70.

Final Score: (10) North Carolina Central (27-1) 79, (7) Brigham Young (22-11) 70

Towson Riviere had a triple-double: 22 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 steals, while his 'sidekick' Danny Evans had a double-double: 10 assists and 10 rebounds.

In the second half, NC Central came back to lead 65-64 with 10 seconds left. Towson Riviere blocked 2 shots in a row to win the game for the Eagles.

Sweet 16 VS. (3) Memphis (30-6)

Memphis was at it's usual hard-nosed defensive play, block 3 shots in the 1st half for a 46-29 halftime lead.

The Eagles once again came back in the second half, scoring 13 unanswered points late in the game en route to a 77-66 victory.

Final Score: (10) North Carolina Central (29-1) 77, (3) Memphis (30-7) 66

Elite Eight VS. (1) Connecticut (36-1)

UConn was a heck of a team in the regular season without question, but throw all of that out the window when you've got an epic underdog challenging them.

The first half was a big defensive battle for NCCU, as they clawed and scratched their way to a 34-20 halftime lead.

The second half was no different, and NC Central held on to win 72-62

Final Score: (10) North Carolina Central (30-1) 72, (1) Connecticut (36-2) 62

Final Four VS. (2) UCLA (34-3)

In the first half, UCLA was a real pain in the butt to score on. We trailed 35-17 at the intermission.

The second half was an entirely different story, as we squeaked out a 50-49 victory on a buzzer-beating 3-point shot by Towson Riviere.

Final Score: (10) North Carolina Central (31-1) 50, (2) UCLA (34-4) 49

National Championship VS. (1) North Carolina (38-0)

This....is....it....mono....e....mono!

The first half went well for us as we took a 33-30 lead heading into the halftime break.

The second half became very tight and close. It all cam down to the last possession. Both teams fighting for their university, for their chance at the bigs, for their rare opportunity to be named National Champion. With the ball and 5 seconds and counting left, NC Central had to deal with the ball being batted everywhere and having to desparately toss it around, putting up a 38-foot prayer at the buzzer that scored.

Final Score: (10) North Carolina Central (32-1) 69, (1) North Carolina (38-1) 66

After the epic celebration where I did laps around the University of Phoenix Stadium court and backflipped, I was swarmed by who else? A bunch of lovely ladies....
