Nov. 26th VS. North Dakota State (0-3)

NC Central was too much for the Bison in the first half, scoring on their last 7 shots to go into halftime with a 34-19 lead.

NDSU would make a late surge from 16 points down in the second half, but it was too little, too late. NC Central held on to win 62-57.

Final Score: North Carolina Central (3-1) 62, North Dakota State (0-4) 57

This time, Riviere wouldn't be as explosive as he was for the previous three games, being held to 15 points.

Freshman Center Danny Evans had 23 points and 9 rebounds.

With over half the women in NC Central now attracted to me, you'd probably understand how well-trodden this school's gymnasium was. Just another plus for me, the dark-haired, leather-jacket-wearing, pimping 18-year-old head coach of NC Central.

Anyway, back to the action........

Nov. 30th @ Yale (3-1)

Yale's offense may have been potent (averaging 78.9 ppg), but they could not find an answer for Towson Riviere, who played tremendous basketball against the Bulldogs. NC Central led 47-25 at the half.

The second half was such a lopsided affair, I farted, left the building, got some McDonald's, and came back, all while NC Central cruised to a 97-40 victory.

Final Score: North Carolina Central (4-1) 97, Yale (3-2) 40
Towson Riviere, the undisputed leader of the team, was straight out of a video game (literally and figuratively), scoring 50 points and grabbing 7 rebounds.

Dec. 4th @ #16 Butler (5-1)

Seeing how we've already beaten a Top 25 team in Kentucky (3-2), I'm not as worried about this game as I could've been. The ladies can sleep tight tonight.

The first half was one that I'd rather want back, with the Eagles turning the ball over 11 times and trailing 34-30.

The second half was an awesome offensive explosion for North Carolina Central, scoring 46 points and the buzzer-beating 3-point shot to send the game into overtime tied at 76.

In overtime, the Eagles and Bulldogs went tooth-and-nail at it, with Butler taking a 1-point lead with 1 second left. Towson Riviere threw up a hail mary pass at the bucket and Danny Evans caught it, shot it, bought it, just inside the paint for the 86-85 victory.

Towson Riviere is officially a BEAST. He scored 41 points and grabbed 7 rebounds.

We were also ranked in the AP Top 25 for the first time in school history, being ranked 25th.

Towson Riviere was born in Fort Wayne, IN alongside another great Freshman this year: North Carolina's Morris Rogue, who was also from Fort Wayne. Rouge would always beat Riviere in street basketball and Riviere got sick of it. He only got one scholarship offer, which was from North Carolina Central. Rouge had 159 scholarship offers, including scholarships from the ENTIRE Big East Conference, but he chose North Carolina and is now undefeated in his career so far. Personally, I am a Tar Heel fan, but NCCU is my school.

Dec. 6th VS. #24 Towson (7-0)

Towson may be undefeated, but we got swag. We should win.

During the first half, Danny Evans injured his right foot on a layup and could not return to the game. We led 36-19 at the half.

In the second half, We continued to blow away from the Tigers and won 79-55.

Final Score: #25 North Carolina Central (6-1) 79, #24 Towson (7-1) 55

Towson Riviere had 29 points. 'Nuff said.

(In the interest of saving time, I am going to condense the rest of my non-conference schedule into one post.)

The rest of the non-conference schedule was very good for us, as we won @ Jackson State (0-8) 82-57, @ #20 Montana (8-0) 87-78, VS. Villanova (3-6) 60-56, VS. #13 Purdue (8-1) 104-101 in triple overtime VS. Xavier (7-3) 70-63, and @ Campbell (6-6) 89-32.

Conference play was perfect for us. We won all of our conference games and unsurprisingly finished 1st in the conference. We had a memorable game Feb. 11 against Grand Canyon (18-6), winning on a buzzer beater in double-overtime as the final score stood at 96-93.
