[font="Comic Sans MS"]Started league play against 23rd ranked Xavier who was having a good run through their non conference schedule. They felt they could come into our house and make a statement. Our players would have none of that as we laid the smackdown down on them winning 80-48. Grant Petion led the way with 18 points. Chris Dawson had 17, Fletcher Slay chipped in with 13. Jabari Herrion added 14 points and 9 assists. After running off 5 league wins in a row we were brought back down to earth with a 74-79 loss at St. Joes and a 54-61 home loss against 18th ranked Temple.

We rebounded from those losses with a 95-83 win at Duquesne, Jabari led the attack scoring 17 points and handing out a career high 14 assists. Fletcher put in 18 points, Chris scored 16 and Grant added 12. Against Richmond three players rebounded double doubles in a 73-52 win. [font="Comic Sans MS"](1) La Salle Explorers vs. (9) St. Bonaventure Bonnies

St. Bonaventure decided to play a 2-3 Zone against us, with the shooters I have at my disposal they were playing with fire. Not only do we have great shooters, but as an experienced them out basketball IQ can break down any defense to get the best shot. At halftime we had already made 11 threes, we finished making 16 threes in route to a 81-59 win. Chris Dawson mad 6 3's in scoring 28 points. Brian Willis scored 19 and Fletcher Slay added 12.

La Salle Player of The Game: Chris Dawson 28 points.

(1) La Salle Explorers vs. (4) Xavier Musketeers

This game was a grind, Xavier played a very disciplined game. On offense they worked the clock until they got the best shot possible. Defensively they weren't giving anything up. The bumped cutters, fought through screens, and contested every shot and pass. Heading into the last minute Xavier held a 55-54 led. Jabari Herrion broke down the Xavier defense with his penetration to the rim, when they closed in his pass found Chris Dawson whose made three put us up 57-55. Xaviers defense took the headlines the entire game but our defense made the play to decide the game, a blocked shot by Brian Willis led to a fastbreak which sealed a 59-55 win. Jabari Herrion scored 16 and handed out 6 assists. Grant Petion had a double double with 13 and 11.

La Salle Player of The Game: Grant Petion 13 points 11 rebounds.

(1) La Salle Explorers vs. (6) St. Joes Hawks

The Atlantic 10 Championship quickly turned into the Grant Petion show. Three pointers from every angle Grant was on fire. He made 6 threes in the first half in route to scoring 24 points in the half. The second half was academic as we cruised to a 88-74 win. Grant finished with 32 points on 7 made 3s. Fletcher Slay had 11 and 9, Brian Wills had 13 and 11, and Jabari handed out 10 assists and scored 8 points.
