What we did well- Big part of our offense was generated by our steals, resulting in fast break pts. SG David Williams also improved on his shooting accuracy
Areas of improvement- Rebounding has to improve, esp against teams that plays slow tempo

Nov 14, 2012: Marquette (0-0) @ Rice (0-0)
Tip off
Both teams knocking down outside shots. MARQ only 4 turn overs in the 1st half. SG David Williams with 19 pts, but our big men also getting their share of inside pts.
Halftime, Up 46-44
Start of 2nd half
We'll use m2m defense exclusively. We're also pressuring more, forcing MARQ to some turn overs. Problem is, we are being called for a lot of fouls, and got into the penalty very early
11:26, Up 64-63
It has been a see-saw battle in the 2nd half. MARQ has already taken 30 shots from the FT line, making 25
3:15, Down 79-80
MARQ also in the penalty. We converted 2 FTs to retake the lead. Up 1. SG David Williams gets a steal on MARQ's backcourt, got fouled, and converted his FTs. Up 3. A miss by MARQ. Williams getting a 3 on the other end. 7-0 run. Up 6. Another miss by MARQ. PF Nigel Abrams got a basket, plus a foul; Abrams hit the FT. 10-0 run in just over a minute
1:58, Up 89-80
MARQ got our lead down to 5 with less than 30 secs left. We stole the ball twice, to seal the game. Excellent finish in the game. But our defense needs a lot of work.
Final Score: Marquette - 87, Rice - 98
