GM Notes

More of the same. The team was actually better away than at home this month. If you can call it "better"

I've started looking ahead to the draft. If all goes to plan, at this moment in time i'm looking to aquire Tyron Marsh. He's a 6'4 SG freshman out of Providence. He is averaging 22.2 PPG. Obviously it is early days and workouts might throw up other options but at this moment he is certainly someone that excites me.

Sucks for the team but stick with it. It's good to see that you have a game plan ans sticking with it even with short term set backs. Are you thinking of any other trades?

Yeah it is tough but i'm detrmined to stick to the plan as I feel it's best in the long run. At the moment if the lottery goes our way we have 3 of the top 4 picks. Only thing that could change is I might choose not to use two of them. I'll know more after rookie workouts, but at the moment it seems like the top 3 guys play PF, SG and PG. Obviously with Deron and Robinson the only one of use to me is the SG.

Early days yet, but I may end up looking to trade those two picks.

GM Notes

Alot of trade activity this month but I didnt feel the need to get involved. All of our contracts with the exception of Robinson and Williams expire this off season. This will give me the cap space to have some fun in the draft and free agency. The all star break was a welcome break away from reality and I was very please for Deron to be given a starting role. It just shows his quality that despite everything he can be considered an All Star Starter.

Since in real life NBA there are teams that try to have the worst record, this is a great story, IWW. With the many high draft picks you can use or trade, next year should be quite different though.

Appreciate the comments all :) Yeah i'm trying to be more the behind-the scenes GM, not the one that the media see. If this was an interview to the press i'm sure i'd be shocked and dissapointed at how bad they are. Behind the scenes though i'm licking my lips! I'm so torn on what to do with the picks. It's going to be right down to the wire on what I do with them.

Are the Brooklyn fans saying "Wait 'til next year" yet?

For those too young to understand the reference:
