New York, New York! Bringing a championship home

Postby zike_42 » Thu Jan 30, 2014 3:25 am

Game one of our new season is a nice, easy win over the Mike Bickerstaf-less Thunder 127-102. A lot of nice efforts in this one with Rowling having 28 points off the bench while Matias Perez does his ‘give and take away’ routine with 16 points, 17 assists and 9 turnovers. Robert Jackson even had a nice game with 19 points and 9 rebounds off the bench. Nice. Did I say nice too many times? That’s because Mark Lyday didn’t start (Art Haynes) and only played nine minutes while I don’t want $10 million coming off the bench in John Kelly, not matter how well he played. I’m going to have to keep an eye on this development.

Brooklyn Nets 1-0

Mark Lyday gets the start in game two and did well with 19 points and 7 rebounds as we win again, this time just getting past the Pistons 119-114. Matias had 24 points, 11 assists and 8 turnovers while Harry added 19 points, 16 rebounds and 4 blocks but were all outdone by CJ’s 15 points, 12 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals. It’s a little sad to see Detric Jones lose this game as he did everything he possibly could with 21 points, 16 assists and 12 rebounds but still couldn’t get the W.

Brooklyn Nets 2-0

I’m starting to like this team even more as CJ spanked All Star Alfons Deitz with 26 points and 19 rebounds as we win in Seattle, Washington 115-102. Matias actually only had four turnovers in the game to go alone with his 18 points and 14 assists. Crazy! Second year man Keith Chapman was the best for the Sonics with 25 points and 8 rebounds before fouling out.

Brooklyn Nets 3-0

It’s the battle for New York again and we withstand an 18 point, 17 rebound barrage from Julius Hobbs and a 27 point stinging from Dave Coulter to sneak out with a 118-114 win. It seems Matias is getting the hang of not turning it over with 22 points, 11 assists and only 3 turnovers while Cliff Havens has his best game in the NBA with 23 points. Even Robert Jackson had a good show with 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks in the win.

Brooklyn Nets 4-0

It’s back home to Brooklyn and we tear the Raptors a new one, winning every quarter to take the game 118-101. Cliff Havens is really getting the hang of this with 26 points in 25 minutes while Rowling backed him up with 20 points of his own while Matas had 16 assists. Toronto shot better than us from the field but when we hit 14 three pointers to their 4 it’s a win for us.

Brooklyn Nets 5-0

I know we are undefeated at the moment but I’m feeling really uneasy about this team and won’t feel better until we lose and I can exhale or just look for trading partners now.

Well that was fast. We lose our first game of the season 115-104 to Chicago and I’ve made up my mind. But to the game. Patrick Blizzard is really coming along as a premier scorer at the SF position (like we need any more of those) with 24 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists as six other Bulls were in double figures. On our side Matias had 22 points, 9 assists and 8 turnovers as Cliff was held to only 19 minutes.

Brooklyn Nets 5-1

Cliff wasn’t in foul trouble, it’s because we have John Kelly right behind him and that’s stunting his growth. I’m also not sold on Mark Lyday as our future PF so I go shopping.

And boy is it a doozy with a face I haven’t seen in ten odd years.

Brooklyn trade:
PF Mark Lyday
SG John Kelly
PG Matias Perez

Portland trade:
PF Marcus Randle
PG Kevin Epps
2033 1st round pick
2034 1st round pick
2035 1st round pick

Winner – Both. What a huge deal with both teams getting a great win out of this. The Nets consolidate their assets into two stars of the game while Portland bring some quality talent around superstar Tiburcio Tommasini. Phew, this will change the league.

It’s been ten years since Marcus Randle played for my Dallas team and he hasn’t done much since that but when he was a Maverick he was a superstar so hopefully he can get back to that form. If not, he is still one of the best defenders in the league. Kevin Epps is a bonafide star though and will not turn the ball over nearly as much as Matias did. It also frees up heaps of minutes for Cliff Havens and those picks will be handy in the future.

What a horrible first game for our new guys. Not only did we lose to Denver in overtime 101-90 but our additions had terrible games. Marcus had 12 points and 10 rebounds before fouling out in only 24 minutes while Kevin Epps went 1/8 from the field for 7 points, 13 assists, 8 rebounds and 6 fouls as well. To top it all off Cliff Havens went 5/24 from the field and Randy Canal had a go at Epps for shooting so bad! At least things can only go up from here, right? Brad Largent had 24 points and 10 rebounds as both teams combined to shoot 38/75 from the foul line (50.6%).

Brooklyn Nets 5-2

Ahh, much better. Marcus actually took home the player of the game award with 21 points and 9 rebounds as we stop the high flying Spurs 122-107. Cliff was back to shooting well with 24 points while Eppsy only played 19 minutes but had 9 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. If he could play a whole game then look out! Antonio Henderson and Cederic Thomas combined for 46 points but we shot way to well to be troubled.

Brooklyn Nets 6-2

Bad news is that both Cliff and Marcus sustained injuries in that game and will be less than perfect for around a week. I also assign Randy Canal to the D-League as he isn’t getting any time with Eppsy on the team.

The Celtics are 0-8 and with our injuries they might pop their cherry but noooooope, we win again, this time 107-93. It was Art Haynes who did the damage with a 9/11 night for 26 points while although Eppsy went 2/16 (ouch) he did finish with 4 points, 15 assists and 8 rebounds. Varlam Chavchavadze had 24 points for the losers but Jimmy Forrest is out injured and there isn’t anyone else to help.

Brooklyn Nets 7-2

It was a great game against the powerhouse Miami Heat. That was until the overtime period where they outscored us 15-2 to put us back in our place with a 129-116 drubbing. Kenneth Long had a great game (as usual) with 30 points, 8 assists and 5 steals as we didn’t had anyone over 20 points. Eppsy had his best shooting game with 19 points, 10 assists and 7 rebounds but he fouled out just as the extra period was starting.

Brooklyn Nets 7-3

Great, now Eppsy and Robert Jackson are injured. It’s a sign of the times in the Ish Faye/Marcus Randle match-up as Faye torched our guy for 38 points while Randle could only manage nine of his own. So much for the defensive extraordinaire. Art Haynes led us with 20 points in 18 minutes off the bench.

Brooklyn Nets 7-4

Cliff is fully healthy now and wanted to make a statement in our home game against Nevada. He went 13/21 for 35 points as we take care of the Neon 128-109. Marcus is in tip top shape as well and also had a great night with 23 points. Our old mate Phillip Rude is doing well in the desert and had 21 points in the loss as he just couldn’t keep up with our Cliffy.

Brooklyn Nets 8-4

Wow, the Celtics are still winless at 0-10 as I really wish I had their pick this year instead of last year. We won, natch, 113-98 with Art Haynes being a God send off the bench with 24 points with Ryan Garris also adding 12 points. Another of our old chums, Akin Feaster, led the way for the winless with 16 points and 11 rebounds.

Brooklyn Nets 9-4

Ah ha! It’s time to get revenge on Chicago who inflicted our first loss of the season! Nope, we go down again, this time 120-109 with Charles Means and Patrick Blizzard leading the way with 25 points each. Marcus Randle was our best with 20 points and let’s just get past this game.

Brooklyn Nets 9-5

Cliff and CJ did the brunt of the work in our 114-93 win over Nevada with CJ the best, going for 22 points, 5 steals, 4 blocks and 4 assists with Cliff adding 23 points. I lie, because Jason Allen and Ryan Garris added 26 points between them in only 18 minutes of court time. Matt Anderson (who?) was the best for the Neon with 26 points and 11 rebounds.

Brooklyn Nets 10-5

Last game of the month and damn we deserve it! 16 games is just too much for a team in flux to handle but we’ve done pretty well for ourselves. We finish off with a massive 130-109 win with Art Haynes providing the scoring again with 29 points and 8 rebounds in only 25 minutes while Kevin Epps handling the passing duties with 10 assists to go with his 17 points. Cederic Thomas was again the best for San Antonio with 26 points but we shot 53% from the field. If only we could make our free throws.

Brooklyn Nets 11-5

After that massive month we are sitting pretty in second place in the East, with Washington above us at 13-2 and Atlanta below at 6-3. The Celtics had a winless month, going 0-12 and making everyone in Bean Town very nervous.

The Mavericks have made the (nearly) best start possible at 11-1 with Houston (6-2) and Golden State (11-4) coming in at second and third. The Lakers may have Michael Taylor and Lars Ray but they also have the worst record in the conference at 4-12.

November Player of the Month – Michael McQuay, Atanta Hawks – 37.6 points, 1.3 assists, 8.7 rebounds, 1.4 steals and 1.2 blocks.

November Rookie of the Month – Joe West, Charlotte Bobcats – 16.3 points, 2.0 assists, 4.9 rebounds, 0.7 steals and 0.8 blocks.

No other trades around the league apart from our blockbuster.

With our starting PG, SG and SF all injured with CJ and Cliff not actually playing it was going to be tough winning our next game. It’s too bad it was against the 3-15 Knicks as we go down 99-90. Robert Jackson started at SF and led the way with 21 points but Eppsy went 1/5 for only 6 points. I can’t get a good read on the team with all of these injuries so I’ll be patient. Reggie Blake led the way for New York with 22 points.

Brooklyn Nets 11-6

Alright, Cliff’s back in the starting line-up (but only had 11 points) but it was my prodigal son in Marcus Randle who stole the show in our 110-100 win over Charlotte. Marcus went into beast mode with 30 points and 17 rebounds to show he still got it. James Blakemore was the best of a bad bunch for the Bobcats with 17 points and they should be in the lottery again this season.

Brooklyn Nets 12-6

Hey, the Celtics won their first game! A 115-91 home win over Chicago puts them at 1-14! I guess the only way is up now.

If there’s one guy that can lead his team single-handedly it’s Cort Majishun, and tonight he showed his full arsenal. Not only did he had 30 points, 12 assists and 6 rebounds he also took his Grizzlies over the line with a 114-97 win over us. Joe Curry was also great with 27 points and 8 rebounds but most of that was due to Majishun. Kevin Epps tried to stay with him with 22 points and 14 assists but he wasn’t anywhere near Cort.

Brooklyn Nets 12-7

This team really isn’t clicking at the moment even with all of our studs healthy as we go down to LA 122-93 in a smacking. Lars Ray still hasn’t forgiven me for trading him and he went off, going 12/16 for 34 points and 8 rebounds as Ben Herrion had 16 points in 12 minutes off the bench. Marcus was our best with 21 points but we shot only 43% from the field.

Brooklyn Nets 12-8

OK, this is starting to get worrying. We let a 14 point lead slip as we go down to the Sonics 106-98 on our home floor. Lisandro Perez might be old but he can still play with 27 points as our leading scorer was only 17 points in Cliff Havens. A few more losses and I might have to do something.

Brooklyn Nets 12-9

That’s it, time to hit the phones as we lose to the Kings 123-95. It’s not only are we losing to teams we are losing pretty badly as Diego Acosta of all people goes off for 30 points and 9 rebounds. We should not let him do that. Cliff Havens was again our best with 16 points but this team needs a shake up.

Brooklyn Nets 12-10

I try and try for some decent deals but end up mostly in the cold. I was nearly close with Portland again for Tobe Slaughter but they didn’t want to deal with me again. I nearly stole Ledaryl McMillian off the Mavericks but they thought if I wanted him then he must be worth more than they thought, but in the end I make a deal that could possibly ruin me or make me a genius.

Brooklyn trade:
PG Kevin Epps
SG Cliff Havens

San Diego trade:
SG Jason London
PG Luke Owens
2033 1st round pick

Winner – San Diego. Jason London might be averaging 34 points a game so far but his attitude is beyond toxic and it’s an addition by subtraction deal. Epps for Owens is in the favour of the Riders as well so I don’t know what Brooklyn were thinking.

This deal is very, very risky. Yes London is averaging 34.2 points on 65.3% shooting (not a typo!) but he is flat out crazy. He’s immature, selfish, and thuggish and doesn’t care for anyone else but this team is in need of a shake up and he might be able to do it. Owens is averaging 12 assists a game so will be great on the team as well. I recall Randy Canal to be our back up point guard.

Our first game with the new peeps was a barn burner, as the Blazers knock us down 136-134 in regulation. Jason London only had 21 points in 22 minutes as it was our bench brigade who came up big with Robert Jackson, Gray Largent and Ryan Garris combining for 59 points. Tobe Slaughter went 9/11 for 28 points while Matias Perez wanted revenge, going 15/17 from the foul line for 23 points and 10 assists and only 4 turnovers.

Brooklyn Nets 12-11

That’s better. Jason London has one of the best shooting games I’ve ever seen, going 16/18 for 33 points as we tear through the Magic 121-95. Luke Owens helps out with 18 points, 13 assists and 7 rebounds while Harry and Marcus double up as we shoot 60% from the field. Erwin McIntosh nearly had a devil’s quad double with 13 points, 9 rebounds, 9 assists and turnovers.

Brooklyn Nets 13-11

Ah ha! We get our revenge on Portland a couple of nights after they beat us in that track meet, outscoring them 39-21 in the last quarter to canter home 124-9. Jason London is a ridiculous player with 31 points, 9 assists and 7 rebounds on 13/17 shooting and he hasn’t done anything stupid yet! Tiburcio Tommasini was the high man for the Blazers with 24 points but on 24 shots.

Brooklyn Nets 14-11

Our Christmas Day battle against Detroit ended up being a fight against the Black Knight as we cut off all of their limbs to the tune of 139-90. Jason London (I really need a nickname for him) had 31 points and 10 assists while CJ and Marcus combined for 49 points, 17 rebounds and 6 steals. James McDaniel is another crazy SG who can score and led the Pistons with 20 points.

Brooklyn Nets 15-11

It didn’t take long before Jase had a really big game and tonight in our 120-100 win over Cleveland he did just that. He went 20/24 for 45 points in a dominant display. Marcus doubled up but this game was all about the Londoner. Art Stevenson is playing really well this season and could even sneak into an All Star spot and tonight did nothing to dispel that with 24 points and 8 rebounds.

Brooklyn Nets 16-11

This was bound to happen as well. London went 9/22 as we shoot 36% from the field and go down to Toronto 119-95. Luke Owens had a great night with 15 points, 10 assists and 8 rebounds but these games happen every now and again and all we have to do is get past them. Marcus Sanders is now playing SF and doing a good job of it with 22 points while #1 pick Derrick Culuko had a nice game with 18 points and 8 rebounds.

Brooklyn Nets 16-12

Another thing that was bound to happen was Jason London having a go with someone on his team when we lose and that someone was Jason Allen. I tell them to pull their heads in and Jason Allen was cool about it but as expected, London was not. I may have made a huge mistake with that trade.

After stumbling majorly this month we are now down to sixth in the East, five games behind the 20-7 Wizards and the 19-9 Heat. Boston actually won five games that month but are still only 5-20.

In the West, the Mavericks look to be razor sharp in their pursuit of a threepeat at 23-2. That’s right, 23-2. Milwaukee are finally doing something at 23-7 with Phoenix right behind them. OKC are nearly at the Celtics level at 8-24.

If anyone’s wondering, here is London’s numbers since he’s been here –
30.7 points (13.2/18.5 FG, 71.3%) and 5 assists per game so far. Crazy.

First Round of NBA Draft Prospects
1. PF Zan Tepavac (Croatia), 18 years old, 6’8”, 237lbs
2. SF Juia Henchoz (Spain), 19 years old, 6’8”, 217lbs
3. C Jim Meeking (Pittsburgh), Junior, 6’11”, 253lbs
4. C Marques Jones (James Madison), Sophomore, 6’10”, 256lbs
5. C Aaron White (West Virginia), Freshman, 6’9”, 254lbs

Thoughts – Another tough draft for guards are even though the first PG is at #6 the first SG is all the way down at #20. Tepavac looks really mature for an 18 year old and is the man to beat so far, but it’s still early.

December Player of the Month – Ish Faye, Indiana Pacers – 31.0 points, 9.5 rebounds, 0.9 assists, 1.3 steals and 2.5 blocks per game.

December Rookie of the Month – Derrick Culuko, Toronto Raptors – 15.0 points, 5.2 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 0.4 steals and 0.8 blocks per game.

Only one trade of note last month but boy was it a doozy on the last day of 2032.

Orlando trade:
2033 1st round pick

Golden State trade:
PF Reggie Smith

Winner – Orlando. This is probably the first time a team that traded FOR the terrible attitude has won the deal. The Magic are terrible but not bottom of the barrel at 11-22 while Smith is a superstar player. A superstar cancer as well but for the time being he will be a God send to Orlando’s fans. He’s leading the league in rebounding at only 23 years old and still has more growing to do.

I go all in with a trade that I finally think I’ve done right.

Brooklyn trade:
C Jason Harriman

Denver trade:
C Schuyler Vanderwerken

Winner – Both. At only 25 years old, “Shoo” is one of the best centres in the league. Harriman isn’t too far behind and with a shorter contract (two years instead of three) the talent difference is negated.

I really like this deal as we get another potent offensive threat to go with London, CJ and Marcus. If I knew that Denver would trade Shoo so quickly I wouldn’t have traded Kevin Epps and Cliff Havens to San Diego. Oh well, even after 20 years I’m still making mistakes.

Our first game was as good as I could have hoped for with Marcus and Shoo combining for 53 points and 16 rebounds as we torch the lowly Knicks 127-88. It gave London a chance to take it easy instead of having to do it all, as he finished with 12 points and 9 assists. The Knicks didn’t have anyone of note with Dave Coulter top scoring with 14 points and 6 turnovers.

Brooklyn Nets 17-12

It seems that Marcus plays much better with a great centre next to him. Well, in my experience anyway as he was outstanding with Andre Drummond in Dallas but then fell off in Memphis and Portland. But in the two games with Shoo he’s played like he did in Dallas, this time with 27 points and 9 rebounds as we destroy the Sixers 115-92. Shoo wasn’t too shabby either with 31 points but it was London who stole the show with 26 points, 8 assists and 7 rebounds. Justin Robinson isn’t starting for Philly anymore but he still played well tonight with 16 points and 7 rebounds.

Brooklyn Nets 18-12

Here is our biggest test, going into the Nation’s Capital to play against the 22-7 Wizards. We had a poor shooting night (for him) from London, going 12/28 for 31 points but Luke Owens came to the party with 19 points and 11 assists as we pass the test with flying colours, taking them out 121-110. Randy Canal had his best game in the pros with 16 points in 10 minutes in a dazzling first half performance. Michael Graham was the best for Washington with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists as Rowan Taylor tore his knee tendon a couple of days ago and will be out for the whole season.

Brooklyn Nets 19-12

How did that happen? We lost to the 6-22 Celtics 117-101 behind… ahh I see. Jimmy Forrest is back in the team and had 28 points to pound us down low. Varlam Chavchavadze was also amazing with 27 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists as we had no answer for those two. Shoo did his best with 17 points, 13 rebounds and 5 blocks but London had a shocker, going 2/11 for 6 points and a broken chair at the end of the bench.

Brooklyn Nets 19-13

WOW. We score more than 33 points in each quarter against the Cavs in a massive comeback game after a loss, beating them senseless 144-117. London doesn’t sulk with a 37 point, 9 assist performance s we get four bench players (Robert Jackson with 18 points while Randy Canal, Art Haynes and Gray Largent add 11 each) in double digits to truly send Cleveland packing. Oskar Carlsson nearly had a quad double with 10 points, 9 rebounds, 8 assists and 8 steals as that’s the first time he has ever been in double digits in scoring before. He has had double digit outings in all of the other four major statistical categories.

Brooklyn Nets 20-13

The Bulls always seem to have our measure lately but not tonight as we rattle off another comfortable win, this time 110-99 at home. London was our best with 22 points while Robert Jackson and Randy Canal are becoming really good assets off the bench with 16 and 10 points respectively. Patrick Blizzard was a one man band with 29 points but shot 12/27 to get there.

Brooklyn Nets 21-13

A near triple double from London was enough to get us over the line against the Sixers 106-94. Our shooting star (groan) had 27 points, 9 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals to offset CJ’s and Marcus’ combined shooting night of 7/33. Lost in the great play of London, Luke Owens was close to a trip as well with 14 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Our defence has been fantastic lately with Chad Dickenman leading the way with only 15 points and 9 rebounds. Chris Canal had a shocker, going 4/16.

Brooklyn Nets 22-13

It was close in the first quarter but after that it was all us, stringing together a 37-15 second quarter and 39-21 third term to thrash the Cavs 131-110. London may have had 8 turnovers but he made up for it with 40 points, while Luke dished out 17 assists. Jamil Fleming was the best for Cleveland with 27 points and 8 rebounds.

Brooklyn Nets 23-13

Shoo might have had 22 points in 22 minutes before fouling out but it was his back-up who did the damage in our 118-103 win over New Orleans. Robert Jackson has to be one of my best every free agent bargain bin pick ups and tonight had 19 points and 12 rebounds off the bench. Billy Manley did his best with 34 points and 11 rebounds for the losers but they were no match for us.

Brooklyn Nets 24-13

It’s strange to see Phoenix doing so well and most of that has to do with the re-emergence of Chris Jones, who is averaging 13 points, 10 assists, 6 rebounds and 2 steals a game so far this season. He had 21 points and 6 steals tonight but we were too strong for them, winning in the desert 132-107. Art Haynes went 7/7 for 16 points in 10 minutes which is just phenomenal as London led us like usual with 31 points.

Brooklyn Nets 25-13

Even without Rowan Taylor the Wizards are still a force to be reckoned with as they punch out a 44-26 last quarter to steal a 125-119 win out of our hands. Brian Benton, Jason Sanders and Michael Graham had 63 points between them with four other Washington players in double figures. Shoo was our best with 26 points and 13 rebounds but that last quarter was a killer.

Brooklyn Nets 25-14

Even with 36 points from London we go down to Detroit 116-109 to start a losing streak. Billy Jefferson made short work of Marcus Randle with 20 points and 11 rebounds while Darrell Hampton had 22 points in 23 minutes off the bench, going 7/8 from the field. Moving on…

Brooklyn Nets 25-15

Yes, we get our revenge against Washington as we beat them 125-120 after playing them three times this month. It was a massive team effort as eight players were in double figures as there were 64 fouls called in the game. Jason Allen was the most impressive of all, going 4/4 from the field and the line for 13 points in only 7 minutes! JD Lawson is now starting had led the Wizards with 23 points.

Brooklyn Nets 26-15

Man, trading for Shoo has done wonders for this team as we went 10-3 on the month, which bumped us up a massive one spot into fifth. The East is brutal this year with six teams with a record of .600 or better. On top is Washington at 31-11 and Miami at 33-14. It’s not all roses for Boston as even with Jimmy Forrest back they are still on the bottom at 12-31.

In the West, the Mavericks are making a run for “best record ever” at 32-4 with Milwaukee at 34-9 right behind them. Well, not right behind them but at least in the rear view mirror. The Lakers just flat out suck and are waiting for the off-season already at 12-29.

Efficiency – Derrick Culuko (TOR) – 11.3

Second Round of NBA Draft Prospects
1. SF Juia Henchoz (Spain), 19 years old, 6’8”, 217lbs
2. PF Zan Tpavac (Croatia), 18 years old, 6’8”, 237lbs
3. C Aaron White (West Virginia), Freshman, 6’9”, 254lbs
4. SF Kerry Williams (New Mexico), Freshman, 6’8”, 234lbs
5. PG Michael Harmon (Creighton), Freshman, 6’4”, 157lbs

Thoughts – Forget what I said last month about this draft not having any guards because Harmon is legit. He may be rail thin but if put in a team where he plays a lot of minutes he might average 10 assists a game in the pros. Exaggeration maybe, but not far off. This is a fantastic draft with guys like Marques Jones, Oliver Roe and Jim Meeking battling for a top five spot who would have been comfortable in the top five last season.

January Player of the Month – Ish Faye, Indiana Pacers – 28.3 points, 9.9 rebounds, 1.0 assist, 1.7 steals and 2.7 blocks per game.

January Rookie of the Month – Joe West, Charlotte Bobcats – 14.6 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.4 blocks per game.

No noteworthy trades last month with only a couple of scrubs dealt that aren’t worth talking about.

What a strange game. We had a ten point lead at halftime and then forgot to turn up after that with New Orleans going on a 35-9 third term before we roared back with a 44-30 last term of our own to fall agonisingly close, 108-106. John Nemitz was named player of the game with 16 points and 14 rebounds while our best being London with 28 points. So close.

Brooklyn Nets 26-16

Ah, much better as we rout the Bulls with a 40-12 second term to take the home game 125-105. After that blitz the game was practically over so our bench got a run, with Art Haynes the best off the bench with 15 points. Four of our guys had 20 points or more with CJ leading the way with 21 points and 14 rebounds. Patrick Blizzard shot 9/28 for 26 points to lead Chicago.

Brooklyn Nets 27-16

In the game between Charlotte and Boston there was 310 points scored as the game went into double overtime with Boston finally winning 160-150. Both teams shot 60% from the field with Jimmy Forrest (34 points, 11 rebounds), Bill Parker (28 points), Peter Willis (24 points), Raoul Dumas (21 points, 9 assists) and Neil Prato (20 points, 8 rebounds) all had 20 or more points. For the Bobcats it was all James Blakemore who played 51 minutes, shot 20/27 from the field for 43 points and 15 assists with Joe West helping out with 27 points. What a game!

In a game against the very dangerous Pacers we got out to a 20 point lead before seeing that evaporate to a six point lead with five minutes to go. With much back and forth we held our never to take care of Ish Faye and Indiana 128-122. Robert Jackson was amazing off the bench with 25 points in 27 minutes while Luke Owens shot 1/9 but did everything else well with 7 points, 11 assists and 9 rebounds. Ish Faye was his usual spectacular self with 22 points and 8 rebounds and at only 21 years old he has the world at his feet.

Brooklyn Nets 28-16

Well that wasn’t much of a game as our largest lead was 36 points to stomp the Thunder 144-112. Shoo was our best with 26 points while London and Marcus also had 22 points. We also shot 59% from the field so anything OKC did (Mike Bickerstaf – 20 points) was not going to cut it.

Brooklyn Nets 29-16

Another tough game against a great opponent turns out to be a heart stopper. With two minutes to go we were down by six points before a combination of Shoo (32 points, 11 rebounds, 6 blocks) and Robert Jackson (24 points, 7 rebounds) brought us back from the dead to take the 110-105 win. This was all done with Magnus Carlsson coming off the bench because he has a bruised stomach muscle and was held to only 10 points. Nashon Smith is still starting for the Warriors and led them with 26 points and 5 steals.

Brooklyn Nets 30-16

That’s five wins in a row as Shoo and Marcus combine for 63 points to take us to a 129-111 home win over Houston. CJ also chipped in 23 points as well and with the addition of Shoo Jason London hasn’t had to dominate games which opens up the offensive side for us. Andy Kante was of course the Rockets’ best player with 33 points and 10 rebounds but he just doesn’t have any help, not until Cameron Brown gets more experience.

Brooklyn Nets 31-16

The Bucks are 39-10 and tonight showed their class with a 138-121 lead from the front win. They had seven players over 15 points led by Wes Barnes’ 20 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Our two best were Shoo and London who combined for 65 points but when a team goes for nearly 140 points in regulation we aren’t going to win.

Brooklyn Nets 31-17

It’s All Star weekend and I really hope that we have at least one participant in the big game but I wouldn’t be surprised if we get Shoo and London.

In the Slam Dunk contest the first round was extremely close with only six points separating first and last but in the final Aaron Thorne from OKC went above and beyond, beating New Orleans’ Brian Rude 75-67 to take out the title. The Long Distance shootout was strange with Washington’s Lamont Nelson winning the first round with a score of 18 but then completely imploded with only 8 in the final as San Antonio’s Dereck Crumble kept his nerve to beat Tobe Slaughter from Portland.

Even though the Rookie/Sophomore game ended fairly close the actual game was completely different as the second year guys had a lead of 27 points to end up winning 131-120. Frank Slaughter of all people won the MVP award with 22 points, 10 assists and 8 rebounds as Lou Beck helped out with 21 points and 10 assists. Mark Lyday started for 10 points while Cliff Havens came off the bench for 13 points in 19 minutes. For the rookies, Joe West went 10/28 for 24 points and 7 rebounds while Derrick Culuko added 20 points and 9 rebounds on 8/9 shooting. Randy Canal started which is great news and finished with 16 points and 6 fouls.

We did end up having two All Stars, both starters! The game was amazing as well, as both teams had double digit leads but never over eleven points as the East (woo!) held on with a last minute jump shot from All Star MVP Jamil Fleming to take the game but a single basket 143-141. Fleming ended with 26 points, 9 assists and 5 rebounds while our starters had decent games as London finished with 24 points while Shoo had 6 points and 4 rebounds before fouling out. Ledaryl McMillian must be feeling a little salty as he put up 29 points, 12 assists and 11 rebounds for a rare All Star triple double. Tobe Slaughter had 25 points as well but they just couldn’t get over the line. For all those Rookie Six fans, Kenneth Long was the only East participant while Terry McKenzie (starter) and Jack Dawkins played for the West.

Eastern Conference All Star Starters
Jamil Fleming, Cleveland Cavaliers (Fourth All Star Game)
Jason London, Brooklyn Nets (Fourth All Star Game)
Patrick Blizzard, Chicago Bulls (First All Star Game)
Reggie Smith, Orlando Magic (First All Star Game)
Schuyler Vanderwerken, Brooklyn Nets (Fifth All Star Game)

Eastern Conference All Star Bench
Raul Lopez, Memphis Grizzlies (Tenth ASG)
Kenneth Long, Miami Heat (Fifth ASG)
Jerry Benton, New Orleans Hornets (Fourth ASG)
James Blakemore, Charlotte Bobcats (First ASG)
Julius Hobbs, New York Knicks (Second ASG)
Dave Coulter, New York Knicks (First ASG)
Varlam Chavchavadze, Boston Celtics (Seventh ASG)

Western Conference All Star Starters
Ledaryl McMillian, Dallas Mavericks (Eighth All Star Game)
Tobe Slaughter, Portland Trailblazers (Second All Star Game)
Enrique Mendez, Minnesota Timberwolves (Sixth All Star Game)
Terry McKenzie, Dallas Mavericks (Fourth All Star Game)
Diego Acosta, Sacramento Kings (First All Star Game)

Western Conference All Star Bench
Phillip Rude, Nevada Neon (First ASG)
Antonio Henderson, San Antonio Spurs (First ASG)
Jack Dawkins, Dallas Mavericks (Fifth ASG)
Camah Williams, Minnesota Timberwolves (Fourth ASG)
Michael Taylor, Los Angeles Lakers (Fifth ASG)
Andy Kante, Houston Rockets (Third ASG)
Jaymes Kincaid, Sacramento Kings (Fourth ASG)

Great, in our first game back from the break we go to Dallas to play the 41-6 Mavericks. Nothing could go wrong, right? Oh, I don’t know, how about their biggest lead being 56 points with the Buzzsaw scoring 30 points in 21 minutes as we get humbled in a big way, losing 134-95 after a flurry at the end by our bench. Mike Lingle was great for the Mavs with 26 points and 11 rebounds off the bench as we shot 41% from the field. Shoo was our best with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Ugh.

Brooklyn Nets 31-18

That was just a blip on the radar as we get back to our winning ways, demolishing the Magic 125-100 in Florida. London isn’t shooting as well as he was before (15/31) but still ended with 37 points while Luke Owens had 8 points, 13 assists and 8 rebounds. Reggie Smith is a one man army in Orlando with 25 points and 11 rebounds but they just don’t have any talent around him and he will soon crack it from all the losing.

Brooklyn Nets 32-18

Great, now the Mavericks come to Brooklyn to inflict more misery on us. However, we were prepared this time as London had 27 points and 8 assists but the main man was Luke Owens, as even though he went 4/17 from the field he fouled Ledaryl McMillian out in 24 minutes as we get a game back 106-99. Jack Dawkins was the best for Dallas with 28 points but our defence on McMillian (2 points, 6 fouls) and Terry McKenzie (15 points, 5 turnovers) was the game winner.

Brooklyn Nets 33-18

Even though London was named player of the game in our 137-127 win over Toronto with 32 points, I would have given it to Luke who had a blinder with 16 points, 21 assists and 9 rebounds. Marcus doubled up as well with the prototypical big man double double of 20 points and 10 rebounds. Chris Barber led the Raptors with 27 points and 8 rebounds while fouling Shoo out in 19 minutes.

Brooklyn Nets 34-18

We just can’t beat the Bucks this season (not just us though) as they stomp us 36-17 in the last quarter to beat us 117-104. Lou Beck is looking to be a huge steal with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists as we shot 42% from the field with Robert Jackson doing most of that damage, going 2/12 in 25 minutes.

Brooklyn Nets 34-19

As usual we don’t let a loss get us down as we finish off the Pacers 133-115 behind London’s 28 points and 10 assists. Shoo, Luke and Robert Jackson all doubled up with Jackson making up for his last game with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Ish Faye was held to only 8/19 shooting for 21 points as Curtis Anderson was their best with 24 points and 8 assists.

Brooklyn Nets 35-19

We’re slowly moving up the conference as we now sit in fourth spot, but only three games behind first placed Washington and two games behind second and third placed Cleveland and Miami. There is a four way tie for last in the conference with Charlotte, New York, Atlanta and Boston fighting it out for the best odds.

Of course Dallas are leading the way in the West at 47-7 but it’s a surprised to see that there are six teams over .600 and Phoenix in seventh spot at .596. Talk about brutal. Utah and OKC have bottomed out and are hoping for better luck in the off season.

Brooklyn Top Points
Jason Allen – 29.0
Schuyler Vanderwerken – 19.4

Third Round of NBA Draft Prospects
1. SF Juia Henchoz (Spain), 19 years old, 6’8”, 217lbs
2. PF Zan Tepavac (Croatia), 18 years old, 6’8”, 237lbs
3. C Jim Meeking (Pittsburgh), Junior, 6’11”, 253lbs
4. C Marques Jones (James Madison), Sophomore, 6’10”, 256lbs
5. C Aaron White (West Virginia), Freshman, 6’9”, 254lbs

Thoughts – I still think that Tepavac will go number one but on the whole, this is a much better draft crop than last year. A little tidbit, #40 ranked C Paul Wilder is averaging 6 points, 7 assists, 17 rebounds, 4 blocks and 2 steals a game. If he goes in the second round there could be a massive steal in the making.

February Player of the Month – Ish Faye, Indiana Pacers – 25.8 points, 8.7 rebounds, 0.8 assists, 1.6 steals, 2.7 blocks per game.

February Rookie of the Month – Joe West, Charlotte Bobcats – 17.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 0.5 steals and 0.3 blocks per game.

There were a few trades but unlike previous trade deadlines there wasn’t that WOW deal that made people stop and look.

San Diego trade:
PF Jerry Leis
SG Danny Badu
SG Brian Griffith

Oklahoma City trade:
SF Hayletts Wilcox
2033 2nd round pick

Winner – San Diego. The three traded players to OKC are all scrubs (Griffith was cut) while Wilcox is a great fringe starter. With Murray Cornette down with a broken ankle the Riders decide to bolster their front court.

Dallas trade:
C Mike Lingle
2033 2nd round pick

Boston trade:
PF Bill Parker

Winner – Dallas. As much as Lingle was a great part of the Mavericks, Parker is still as good. And he’s an expiring contract. The Celtics on the other hand stuffed up because they now have EIGHT centres on the squad, more than half their total players. Terrible deal.

San Diego trade:
C Justin Willis

Houston trade:
PG Marcus Barnes

Winner – San Diego. Willis sucks, won’t get any court time and has a terrible contract. Barnes on the other hand is now the Riders’ sixth man. Pretty simple to see who won this one.

Golden State trade:
2033 1st round pick

Orlando trade:
SG John Flanigan

Winner – Golden State. It’s always good for bad teams to stock up on draft picks but GSW’s pick will be in the 20s which won’t be good enough to get someone of Flanigan’s quality.

Portland trade:
PF Brian Mason
C Anthony Smith

New York trade:
SF Thomas Perkins
2033 2nd round pick

Winner – Portland. All three players are expirings so the deciding factor is talent, which Perkins has over the other two.

Philadelphia trade:
PG Brant Jackson
C Ian Ransom

Houston trade:
SF Matt Fergerson
2033 2nd round pick

Winner – Both. Both Fergerson and Ransom are starting for their new teams so it’s a pretty good deal all around.

Atlanta trade:
PG Matt Brown

Boston trade:
PF Dylan Hahn

Winner – Boston. He may be 34 years old but Brown can still distribute the ball. He’s also an $11 million expiring contract once he gets too slow.

We start March with a very comfortable 132-98 win over the Lakers as all of our starters had 14 points or more, with CJ leading the way with 24 points and 10 rebounds. Marcus and Luke also doubled up. LA had their usual two player game with Michael Taylor and Lars Ray combining for 43 points but they didn’t get much from anyone else, just like usual.

Brooklyn Nets 36-19

It’s Hell Week again from last game so expect some tired bodies out there. We start out with an away game against Philly and the game was even until the last quarter where we outscored the Sixers 37-25 to take a 123-116 win. We had a three headed monster with London scoring 38 points, Marcus adding 27 points and 15 rebounds while Luke helped everyone out with 13 points and 19 assists. Chris Canal should not be playing PG and even though he had 19 points and 11 assists he also turned the ball over nine times.

Brooklyn Nets 37-19

So far three from three as we stomp the Pistons 112-99 with London and James McDaniel matching each other with 28 points, the difference was we had Shoo and Marcus combining for 42 points and 20 rebounds. Rookie Gerrod Phelan had a nice game with 22 points and 8 rebounds in the loss.

Brooklyn Nets 38-19

Now that’s a spicy meatball. We shoot 53% from the field and 54 free throws to blank the Hornets 138-116 behind Marcus’ 26 points and 10 rebounds as nine Nets had seven points or more. Billy Manley was the high man for New Orleans with 23 points but when a team gets over 130 it’s impossible to beat them.

Brooklyn Nets 39-19

Shoo continues his fine form with 36 points and 12 rebounds to make up for London’s 14 points as we win again, this time over the terrible Celtics 108-94. CJ had his first good game in a while with 23 points and 4 blocks. Chav-chav was the only Celtic to actually come to play with 37 points as the team shot 39% from the floor.

Brooklyn Nets 40-19

Cort Majishun, Ronnie Howard and Raul Lopez combined for 70 points but they couldn’t withstand our all around effort as we beat the Grizz on their home turf 126-114. We had eight players in double figures with London making up for the last game with 28 points to lead the way.

Brooklyn Nets 41-19

Grr, we let a 19 point lead evaporate on our home court to lose to Phoenix by a measly two points, 106-102. Danny Perez is going great guns with 32 points while Chris Jones shot terribly but still finished with 4 points, 12 assists, 11 rebounds and 5 steals so I guess he won’t be too upset. Shoo was our best with 20 points and 9 rebounds as our bench killed us, going 11/36 from the field with Robert Jackson being the main assassin, going 6/20 in 30 minutes.

Brooklyn Nets 41-20

Wow, I didn’t expect that when we went to Texas to play Houston. They beat us in every quarter to put the smack down by the score of 124-98. Andy Kante was his usual best with 32 points while Cameron Brown had 28 points. Brown is really becoming something in his second year and could even be an All Star next season. Marcus was our best with 18 points and 9 rebounds but we were just obliterated.

Brooklyn Nets 41-21

Oh my God. Not only did we lose to Golden State on a baseline jumper from Magnus Carlsson 119-118 but Jason London had the gall to complain about playing time after fouling out in 30 minutes! Yes he had 31 points but what the hell? I’m starting to think that he won’t be back next season. Shoo was great with 35 points as those two were the only Brooklyn players in double figures. As for Magnus? Just a lazy 49 points.

Brooklyn Nets 41-22

Again we don’t let a streak appear as we take care of business across the road, beating the Knicks comfortably 108-96. Seven Nets were in double figures with CJ leading the way with 18 points as Julius Hobbs was held to a 1/11 shooting night. Reggie Blake and Dave Coulter combined for 49 points and 11 turnovers.

Brooklyn Nets 42-22

The Heat are good but we are better, riding a 24 point, 10 rebound, 8 block game from Shoo to take the win 118-111. Marcus was also outstanding with 27 points and 8 rebounds as we held the Heat to only 41% shooting. Kenneth Long was their best with 27 points but fouled out in the last quarter where they really needed him.

Brooklyn Nets 43-22

The Bobcats are already over the 50 loss margin and we heap on some more misery, smashing them 114-89 behind London’s 39 points and 10 rebounds. We had other contributors (CJ with 19 points, 5 blocks, 4 rebounds, 3 steals, 2 assists and 1 turnover but it was London’s night. Padorin Ivelitsch is getting better every day and had 23 points and 7 rebounds in the loss.

Brooklyn Nets 44-22

Even though the Wolves won that championship way back when, they have underachieved ever since then and with Enrique Mendez and Camah Williams on the squad they shouldn’t do that. They underachieve against us again, with the better team winning 127-104. There were three great performances tonight with London having 24 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists, Shoo adding 23 points, 10 rebounds and 5 blocks and while even though Luke went 0/6 he did finish with 2 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds. Camah Williams was the best for the Wolves with 24 points and 8 assists as Mendez was held to only 1/12 shooting.

Brooklyn Nets 45-22

We just can’t seem to beat the Kings and tonight was no different, as they rattled off a 37-21 last quarter to steal a 122-114 win in Brooklyn. Jaymes Kincaid was the main culprit with 41 points and 10 assists as Shannon Barker chipped in with 15 points and 16 rebounds. We shot 41 free throws to their 26 but we only hit 68% of them which is a major reason why we lost. Randy Canal had his best game in the league with 13 points and 10 rebounds in 19 minutes.

Brooklyn Nets 45-23

It’s amazing to see a shooting guard go 12/16 from the field for 32 points but that’s exactly what London did in our 120-110 win over Orlando. The Magic tried their best in the first quarter but we finished the game off in the second, going 33-22 as we had seven players with nine points or more. Reggie Smith shot 7/21 but still had 26 points and 11 rebounds but there is already rumours of him complaining about the losing.

Brooklyn Nets 46-23

If you thought last game was an amazing shooting display, you would be flabbergasted by London’s performance in our 138-113 win over Charlotte. He had 27 points and 11 assists on 11/12 shooting. That’s right, he hit eleven of his twelve shots. Robert Jackson filled in for the injured CJ with 15 points and 10 rebounds as Marcus also doubled up. This was simply a slaughter as we shot 0% from the field and 67% from three. Padorin Ivelitsch was the high man for the Bobcats with 20 points and 7 rebounds.

Brooklyn Nets 47-23

He may have ‘only’ shot 12/20 but London was again on his game with 35 points as we stomp the rebuilding Jazz 128-112. Shoo complimented him with 30 points while Pat Sola and Randy Canal added 12 points apiece off the bench. Nathaniel Jackson is the only player of note on the Utah roster and had 31 points and 16 rebounds.

Brooklyn Nets 48-23

We go to Salt Lake City to try and get the win away but got down huge with Nathaniel Jackson doing his part with 27 points and 8 rebounds. Steve Smith also chipped in 23 points and 11 rebounds as the Jazz got out to a 16 point lead before we stormed back with a 33-23 last quarter to fall agonizingly close, 116-113. London had 30 points while Pat Sola poured in 15 points in 11 minutes but we shouldn’t have let this slip away.

Brooklyn Nets 48-24

Our last game of the month was a very comfortable 134-114 win over Memphis. Shoo and Marcus combined for 56 points and 24 rebounds as Randy Canal was electric off the bench, going 7/9 for 18 points in only 10 minutes. Cort Majishun tried his best with 29 points and 12 assists but didn’t get much from anyone else, like usual.

Brooklyn Nets 49-24

Another great month puts us all the way up into second place in the East, two games behind the Pacers at 51-24. The race between second and fifth is only three games apart, with fifth placed Cleveland at 46-29. Atlanta are built around Michael McQuay and when he has only played 40 games this season so far it means that they suck so it’s no surprise to see them at 17-54 and at the bottom of the conference.

The Mavericks might not be still in the race for the best record ever but they are still well ahead of the rest of the West at 61-11, with Milwaukee their only resistance at 55-17. There are seven teams with a record of .575 or higher which just goes to show how good this conference is from top to bottom of the playoffs. Another team that is solely built around one player is OKC, with the team built around Mike Bickerstaf and he tore his Achilles way back in February so has only played 15 games this season, meaning the Thunder are last at 20-51.

Last Round of NBA Draft Prospects
1. PF Zan Tepavac (Croatia), 18 years old, 6’8”, 237lbs
2. C Marques Jones (James Madison), Sophomore, 6’10”, 256lbs
3. C Aaron White (West Virginia), Freshman, 6’9”, 254lbs
4. SF Juia Henchoz (Spain), 19 years old, 6’8”, 217lbs
5. C Jim Meeking (Pittsburgh), Junior, 6’11”, 253lbs

Thoughts – This draft is so much better than last year’s with talent all throughout the first round. Tepavac should be number one, otherwise it will be a mistake while Meeking has talent but a bad attitude.

Don't worry I'm not dead and this dynasty is still alive. I have just moved house and my internet provider is being a massive pain and still hasn't connected our broadband. March Player of the Month – Ish Faye, Indiana Pacers – 27.9 points, 9.8 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.3 steals and 2.9 blocks per game.

March Rookie of the Month – Joe West, Charlotte Bobcats – 16.5 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 0.6 steals and 0.6 blocks per game.

With nine games to go (and five of those are at home) we are right in the chase for the best record in the East so we need to buckle down and get some wins.

Our first game of April was a huge one, as we shot 64% from the field to beat the Hawks 142-130. London was fantastic with 37 points, but we had contributions from Robert Jackson (28 points), Luke (9 points, 24 assists) and CJ (25 points). It was closer than expected because Michael McQuay is back in the team and had 36 points and 9 rebounds. I think he has something to prove now as Ish Faye has taken a lot of his thunder as the best PF and even the best player in the league.

Brooklyn Nets 50-24

Woo, 50 wins!

The Hawks stick around to play us again the next night and the result is much, much worse. We nearly get to 150 points as we destroy them 149-119. London was again our star with 41 points as six other Nets were in double figures. Hell, even Jason Allen had a good game with 11 points in 11 minutes. Michael McQuay went 12/21 from the foul line for 28 points but we were just on fire and they couldn’t put us out.

Brooklyn Nets 51-24

We went into Philly a little full of ourselves and the Sixers promptly put us in our place, smacking us back to reality 135-103. Chris Canal still hasn’t forgiving me for trading him away and showed his displeasure with 45 points as our best was Marcus with 16 points and 9 rebounds.

Brooklyn Nets 51-25

Enrique Mendez and Camah Williams were held to only 33 points between them as we stomp the Timberwolves 119-88. Of course London was our high man with 32 points but it was our big men who did the damage with CJ, Marcus and Shoo combining for 56 points, 31 rebounds and 8 blocks.

Brooklyn Nets 52-25

Well, this was awkward. We go to San Diego to play Cliff Havens, Kevin Epps and the Riders. It was a tough game throughout as both teams had at least a 14 point lead before the game ground to overtime. Marcus fouled out in regulation but that didn’t matter as Robert Jackson had 23 points in the game. After five minutes the game was still tied. And another five minutes passed and we were still tied! Luckily for us the Riders ran out of puff and we pulled out a 132-129 win. Phew, the guys are going to sleep well tonight. London was great with 34 points while Luke added 19 points and 10 assists. They were offset by Cliff Havens and Kevin Epps as Havens added 23 points while Epps put up 19 points and 12 assists. Hayletts Wilcox, Mark Frazier and Chad Gaines doubled up and I have no idea how we won this but it would probably have to do with ten Brooklyn players scoring five points or more.

Brooklyn Nets 53-25

It’s the battle of the best in the conference as we hosted the Heat. Too bad we didn’t play like a top two team as Miami bolted out to a 24 point lead before cruising to a 112-102 beat down. Kenneth Long was great with 20 points, 9 assists and 8 rebounds as Adarrial Faye and Tim Greenberg both were over 20 points. We had three players over 20 points as well with Marcus, Shoo and London adding 69 points but In a strange game for London he went 10/31 from the field.

Brooklyn Nets 53-26

We’re doing well in the games we should win, and our 134-99 win over Denver showcases that fact. London had 35 points but was upstaged by Shoo’s 31 points and 11 rebounds as they were both helped out by Luke’s 3 points and 21 assists. Brad Largent was the only Nugget who turned up with 29 points and 6 rebounds.

Brooklyn Nets 54-26

We only have a half game lead over Miami so these last two games are critical and we can’t slip up. Which means our rematch against the Riders much more important than just bragging rights. Which is good because we outscore them 63-36 in the middle half to run away with a 121-92 win. London had 40 points and held Cliff Havens to only 17 point while Luke is on a tear with his assist numbers, finishing with 17 in this game. Murray Cornette was the best for San Diego with 31 points and 8 rebounds.

Brooklyn Nets 55-26

If we win our away game against Atlanta we are the number one seed in the East. If we lose, we go to second behind Miami, it’s that simple. Luckily the Hawks suck this year and we romp home to a 139-125 home court advantage win. London finished with 34 points while Shoo tore it up with 27 points and 12 rebounds. Randy Canal had one of his best games in the pros with 12 points and 10 assists. Michael McQuay was great as usual with 37 points and 11 rebounds but they didn’t have enough firepower behind him to really pose a threat.
