Heading to the Big Easy

Damn...Ibaka and Davis is going to be a nightmare for the opposition. If your perimiter defense is solid enough, teams are going to struggle to score against you cause they aren't getting anything inside.

That's ultimately why I decided on Ibaka as opposed to Pekovic or Splitter, despite those guys having much better offensive numbers. I figured with Davis growing offensively, Thompson still around and Ibaka serviceable, plus Gordon, Mims, and Terrence Ross on the perimeter, I can get enough offense if my defense is as good as advertised.

It's amazing what some great low post defense and balanced scoring can do for your team.

As in, 15-1 at the end of November.

That's right. 15-1. We started the season 14-0. Ridiculous.

Eric Gordon: 18.3 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 3.6 apg, 1.7 spg, 47% fg.

Anthony Davis: 16.8 ppg, 11.0 rpg, 1.9 spg, 4.0 bpg, 50.4% fg.

Clement Mims: 15.1 ppg, 5.8 apg, 1.9 spg, 2.4 topg, 51.8% fg.

Jared Dudley: 11.7 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 1.3 spg, 46.3% fg, 42.6% 3pt.

Serge Ibaka: 10.8 ppg, 9.5 rpg, 1.1 spg, 4.6 bpg, 42.9% fg.

Drew Gooden: 10.8 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 41.7% fg.

Terrence Ross: 8.4 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 44% fg.

Xavier Henry: 5.6 ppg, 3.2 rpg, 41.8% fg, 38.5% 3pt.

Gustavo Ayon: 5.0 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 50.9% fg.

Austin Rivers: 4.3 ppg, 2.9 apg, 0.7 topg, 42.6% fg.

Jason Thompson: 2.8 ppg, 1.5 rpg, 41.7% fg.

Kyle Korver: 2.3 ppg, 27.3% fg, 42.9% 3pt.

Eric Maynor: 2.1 ppg, 80% fg.

Combined 8.6 blocks per game from Davis and Ibaka? Not bad I guess :P

We've slowed down considerably, sitting 24-7 after two months, meaning we only went 9-6 in December. We're tied with the Warriors for 1st place in the West, though I'd rather have some distance between us and whoever comes in second.

I just don't have the time or energy to keep up this dynasty like I used to. Will still post monthly updates though, nothing too in-depth. Sorry guys
