I also signed Paul George to a huge contract when he became a free agent. He's a stud, but needs to be complimented properly.

*Trade*

Seattle
SF Bagrat Abkhazov
PF Steve Novak
PF James Allen
C Semi Andjelic
For
Atlanta
C/PF Al Horford
PF Carl Landry
ATL 2018 1st Round Pick

James Allen was looking like a disappointment and Andjelic doesn’t appear to have the potential to be as good as Al Horford is. Landry is an energy player and should split time with Jordan Hill. I believe this trade improve our frontcourt and gives us another potential All-Star to line-up with Paul George and Kenny Crawford.

Doron Lamb and Tayshaun Prince were signed after the deal to fill out the depth chart.

Our New Starting 5:
PG Kenny Crawford
SG Paul George
SF Mbah A Moute
PF Carl Landry/ Jordan Hill
C Al Horofrd

Seattle’s Record After 20 Games:

14-6

Image

Kenny Crawford and Paul George appear to be meshing very well, except for George's 4.1 turnovers a game. Landry and Horford work well together in the post and Mbah A Moute rebounds well from the Small Forward position. In fact all of our starters are averaging 5.2 or more rebounds (34.5 total between the starters). Redick plays much better in a reseve role and Jordan Hill was also playing well, but he broke his wrist and will be out for a month and a half.

20 Games into the season Seattle is already just 1 win away from last years win total for the full season!

All-Star Break 2015:

Seattle Record: 31-21 6th in the West

Image

*Note my game froze just before the all-star break, so I simmed back up to it, but this time Jordan Hill didn't break his wrist after 19 games*

Both Paul George and Kenny Crawford were named to the All-Star Game as reserves. Crawford also finished 3rd in the final of the 3-point contest

The Sonics had 24 million in cap space this offseason and I think it was well spent. We got much bigger in the front court, a decision spurred by Thomas Robinson and Demarcus Cousins picking us apart in the playoffs. I believe the team is very deep and could make a deep run into the playoffs.

Amazing how far this team has come in such a short time. Now you add George's former teammate in Roy Hibbert, allowing Horford to play his natural power forward position. That starting five is going to be great defensively for sure.

Yeah, a 34 game improvement in one year is crazy. We have a huge line-up now. So i'm hoping their length combined with their defensive prowess with turn Seattle into dominant defensive team.
