Jake Morgan: A New Golf Life

You're welcome, Tomas. Glad to be of help.

There's definitely an advantage in playing TPG 3 at your own pace, just for fun, without any pressure. Played too much TPG 3 in the Challenge Mode last year to get that free game. That's probably where I got my carpal tunnel syndrome... :)

Cox Classic Forest Oaks Greensboro NC
Thurs. Jake needs a good tournament, as he is starting to run out of money. Jake plays the front 9 well, but plays poorly on the back 9 with 5 bogeys. He shoots a 74 +2 and is tied at 55th. Steve Wheatcroft leads by 2 strokes with a -6.
Fri. Jake has his best round yet. He gets an eagle on the 2nd. He shoots a 69. His -1 leaves him tied for -16th. This is the first time he has made a cut. There are 4 leaders tied at -4.
Sat. Jake plays decent enough to end the day tied for 18th, shooting a 73.
Sun Jake is a little disappointed he didn't play better, but he's happy just to get some cash. He shoots a 75 and ends the tournament a +3, tied for 26. His winnings are $6,525. Brad Elder wins with a -9.

You're welcome, Crusader. Glad for the opportunity to help. By the way, really enjoying reading Jake Morgan's career.

Tomas, to participate in the TPG Challenge just check the Challenge Mode check box in the League Creation screen when you start a new career.

I don't exactly remember how long it took me to reach 500 points. If I'm not mistaken, it took me at least a month of actual play. (I played from the last week of Sept. 2012 to the first week of Nov. 2012). But, then, I started out with a 21-year-old golfing phenom with Tiger-like ratings in the main tour (PGA Tour/WSGA Tour). It might take a little longer if you start out with an average golfer in the development tour (Web.com Tour/JAG tour).

Jake decides to skip the Klandia Inc. Classic.

Stryker Open Muirfield Village Dublin OH
Thurs. Jake plays a decent round and ends with a 74 +2, tied for 23rd. Peter Lonard of Australia finishes with -7 and leads by 2 strokes.
Fri. It's raining and not too many people play well. Jake shoots 76 and is at +6. It's good enough to move him up to 20th. Lonard also shoots 76, allowing Ken Duke to take the lead with a -7 and a 4 stroke lead.
Sat. Jakes shoot 76 again for a +10. He is tied for 27th. Duke is now -10 with a 11 stroke lead as he is the only golfer under par.
Sun. Jake play much as he has been for the first half. The second 9 he gets hot. He makes a late run, getting birdies on the last 5 holes. He ends up with his first top ten, finishing the round with a 69, +7 for the tournament. He wins $20,000. Duke has a bad round getting 79, but still wins by 5 strokes.

Sunix Golf comes calling and offers Jake a clothing and a golf club sponsorship. He agrees to the clothing deal of $26,750 for 2 years, but turns down the club deal, as he doesn't think much of Sunix golf clubs.
