January 1, 2031

70-58 over USC here, to start Pac 12 play. 28, 9, 3 for Cicc, 14, 7, 2 for Demu, 12, 2, 3 for Sann, 12 RBs for Pryb.

Zels Babk broke a finger. Out two months. Mola turned an ankle. Out for 3-4 days.

#6, RPI #1.

January 8

79-72 at Washington. 5 in double figures led by Cicc. 36 and 8.

78-54 over #16 UCLA here. 25, 7, 3, 2, 2 for Cicc, 14, 3, 4 for Pakk, 13 RBs for Mola. 37 and 10.

#4, RPI #1.

January 15

69-51 over Washington ST here. A team effort. +18 TOs.

#3 Arizona next, there.

60-69 at Arizona. They shot 51%. It was about the benches. Ours did well, 21, 10, 3, but theirs did VERY well, 39, 9, 9. This was a war. We get to play them again at our place to end the regular season. Hopefully we can return the favor!

January 22

65-54 over #24 Arizona ST here. Our two inside starters did nothing. Fortunately #3,Svat Pryb, had 12 and 8. 12, 11 for Cicc.

We’re in a 2 way tie for 1st with Oregon ST.

62-59 at 3-14 California. We were up 13 with 5 minutes left when suddenly we couldn’t make a basket and they couldn’t miss. With 2 minutes left it was tied, and then they hit a three. I called a time out, fixed the D, and told our guys to work it inside. Demu scored a layup, we stopped them, Pryb scored inside, we stopped them again. After that we just needed to make our free throws and we did, twice. It was a near thing though!

We are now alone in first, but 4 teams are one game back.

January 29

68-50 at Colorado. 21 for Sann. 36 and 10.

71-49 over one of the 2nd place teams, Oregon. 19, 5 for Pakk 12, 7, 2 for Mola, 9, 7, 6, 2 for Sann. 40 and 10.

Slod Cicc is #9 on the Norton list.

That recruit did not hit our score. We will offer next week. Still deciding among 3 players.

February 5

79-61 over Oregon ST. 18, 5, 4 for Pakk, 17, 2, 5 for urui, 15, 7, 2 for Cicc. 5 TOS (+11).

Only Arizona remains one game back of us.

Tough road game at #18 Stanford next.

62-71. We shot 32.1%. 18, 5 for Sann.

Sub Toma Apel sprains an ankle. Out about 2 weeks.

We gamble on a PG for our final offer.

February 12

67-44 at USC. 17, 12, 2, 3 for Mola. 47 and 11.

79-39 over Washington here. A team effort. 35 and 4.

3 to play. We’re tied with Arizona with Oregon one back.

#4, RPI #1.

Our long shot PG signed. Ty Hali, #585, but we think he’s a lot better than that. Time will tell.

At #18 UCLA next.

February 19

76-69 over UCLA. 16 each for Demu and Sann. Down the stretch, every time we needed a hoop we got one.

65-50 at Washington. 17, 6, 2,3, 2 for Cicc. +15 TOs.

Arizona lost to UCLA, so they are 1 game back, but the winner of our game tomorrow will finish first.

February 26

76-55 over #3 Arizona here. 26, 4, 2, 4 for Cicc, 16, 7 for Mola, 14, 8 for Demu, 13, 3 for Sann. 36 and 12.

We finish first in the Pac 12. Arizona winds up 3rd.

#3, RPI #1.

March 9

The favorites all won so we play #8 seed Stanford, 19-11. We lost by 9 there.

March 10

66-49 over Stanford. Our guards were amazing, 12, 10, 10 for Urui, a very rare triple double. Cicc had 14 and 12, Sann 13.

Arizona, Oregon, and Oregon ST were all upset in the quarter finals.

We play #5 seed Arizona ST, 21-9, in the semis. We won by 11 there.

March 11

70-64 over Arizona ST. 15, 3, 6 for Urui, 7, 12, 5,2 for Cicc. 40 RBs. We have been sloppy in both tourney games; too many TOs.

It’s #6 seed, #16 ranked UCLA, 21-9, for the title. We beat them by 24 and then 7.

March 12

67-58 and our 2nd title in a row. 17, 5 for Pakk, 13 for Demu, 11, 8, 5 for Urui, 11, 5 for Mola, 8, 4, 2, 2 for Sann. We took control in the 2nd half.

We’re definitely a #1 seed. #1 overall? #2 ranked, but #1 RPI for most of the season.

#1 in the Midwest, #2 overall. We play #16 USC Upstate, 18-12.

March 16

62-42. A solid team effort. 37 and 11.

Next up is #9 seed, 21-13 Butler.

March 18

90-69. 21, 7, 8, 3 for Cicc, 21, 8, 5 for Pakk, 17, 5 for Demu. 40 and 8.

#4 seed, # 16 ranked Maryland, 24-9, is next. We beat Maryland by 28 in December.

March 23

68-52, and we’re in the Elite Eight for the first time here at Utah. 17, 10 for Cicc, and good play from everyone else. 36 RBs (+12).

#3 seed, #14 ranked UCLA next. We have beaten them three times this year. It is very difficult to beat a good team three times, let alone four times.

March 25

64-53 and we’re in the Final Four! 7 players with between 7 and 12 points. +12 points in the paint; +6 second chance points. +19 rebounds.

March 26

Arizona upset #1 ranked Kentucky.

March 30

Stanford won the NIT.

March 31

#3 ranked, #1 seed North Carolina, 32-3, beat us by 4 in the Coaches Classic.

#2 seed Arizona vs. #7 seed Auburn in the other game.

April 1

91-70 over North Carolina. 28, 6, 3, 5 for Cicc, 16, 5, 2, 3 for Pakk, 14, 9, 3 for Demu, 12, 4, 7, 4 for Urui, 11, 3 for Pryb, 8, 5 for Mola. +13 TOs. A real team effort.

We play #2 seed, #8 ranked Arizona, 29-7, for the title. Arizona beat us by 9 there, and then we won by 21 here.

April 3

58-72. It was tied at the half. In the 2nd half Arizona shot 53%, 57% on threes. Our defense simply failed us in the 2nd half. -4 TOs, -1 RB.

A great season but a disappointing end to it.

April 4

Awards: Slod Cicc made 2nd team All American. In the Pac 12 Cicc was POY and first team. Paul Pakk made the 2nd team. I was COY.

April 23

We ask for a budget increase. $15,000.

32-5, #2 in the polls, lost in the national title game. Quite a season! We lose starters Paul Pakk and Tran Mola, and subs Zels Babk and Toma Apel to graduation.

296-99, .749. Off- 69, Def- 85, Recruit- 80, Scouting- 66, Player Dev- 80, Reputation- 66.

May 1

We buy the International Gold.

June 5

No one in the transfer pool.

Preseason #7 ranked.

June 26

5 scholarships. We need guards more than bigs.

August 7

Three on the Norton list: Slod Cicc is #4, Ata Urui is #19, Haro Robt is #40.

August 21

We offer to 3 PGs, an SF, and a C.

September 18

Rupe Lei, C, #61, commits.

We are going to the NIT. First opponent is Illinois. We have a very challenging schedule.

September 25

Ziva Pokj, SF, #35, Ti Roba, PG, #47, and Vito Sici, PG, #40 committed.

October 2

Eiki Herm, PG, #78, committed.

First day of practice. Again this year we’re good and we’re deep.

We’re picked to finish 2nd to Arizona again.

We were at #7 in the polls in early June. We are now at #3.

November 6

Here’s the lineup we’ll start the season with: Senior Slod Cicc is our #1 guard, but will play a fair amount at SF. Senior Ata Urui and soph Ales Sann will also get significant minutes at guard, and frosh Stah Wize will get minutes as well. Freshman Enzo Rosa will start at SF and back up inside. Juniors Svat Pryb and Haro Robt will start inside. Soph Cria Demu, who played a lot last season, is the odd man out, but things could change.

November 14

91-67 over #7 seed Illinois in the first round of the NIT. We’re the #10 seed, which makes no sense. 30, 2, 3, 2 for Cicc, 21, 15, 3 for Pryb, 17, 8 for Robt, 13, 2, 6, 2 for Sann.

We play #2 seed, #12 ranked Maryland next.

November 16

76-71. Solid play all around and +10 RBs. This was a tough team.

Next is #11 seed, #24 ranked Arizona ST, who upset the #3 seed.

November 18

76-65 in the semifinals. 14, 14 for Pryb. 5 guys in doubles, 2 others with 7 each. 52 RBs, 11 TOs.

It’s #8 seed, #8 ranked Miami (FL) for the title.

November 20

We’re ranked #1, for the first time ever, going into the title game.

71-67 and the title! 18, 6 for Robt, 11, 9, 2, 2 for Pryb, 14, 3 for Cicc, 11, 0, 5, 2 for Urui, 9, 4, 4 for Sann, 6, 8 for Rosa.

All 5 recruits signed for once. We’re through with recruiting early.

November 27

68-48 over Michigan here at home. 16, 12 for Robt, 15, 8, 3 for Cicc, 12, 3, 3 for Sann. 44 and 11.

Robt strains a knee and is out for about 2 weeks. Cria Demu will get his minutes.

69-61 at NC ST. 14, 10 for Pryb, 16, 8, 2, 2 for Cicc. +10 RBs, +6 TOs.

December 4

83-68 over #20 Maryland here. The 2nd time we beat them this year. 22, 7 for Urui, 16, 8 for Demu, in his first start for the injured Robt, 13, 6, 5, 3 for Cicc. 43 and 12.

Cria Demu went down hard and hurt his head. Day to day.

69-58 in OT over Wake Forest here. 28, 6, 3, 3 for Cicc, 20, 4, 6, 3 for Urui. +10 TOs. Pryb fouled out late and we had to go too dep into the bench. It almost cost us, but Cicc and Urui just kept making shots. Cicc hit a three with 1.7 to go in regulation, to take it to OT, and we took control in OT. I don’t think I’ve lost an OT game since coming to Utah.

Robt is healthy so he’ll return to the lineup.

Still #1, RPI #1.

December 11

70-62 at Syracuse. 12, 15, 2 for Pryb, 15, 2, 3, 3 for Robt. 34 and 9.

Here we go again with injuries. 6th man Ales Sann sprained a finger and is out about 2 weeks, AND starting SF Enzo Rosa stretched a hamstring and is also out about 2 weeks. Demu and Wize will get their minutes. Hali and Susk may get a few. It will be difficult with two key players out. Fortunately we’re deep.

We’re 9-0.

68-56 over Indiana here. 22, 9, 2 for Cicc, 14, 6, 2 for Robt, 11, 5, 2 for Pryb. 40 and 9. Demu and Wize did well for us in their new roles.

December 18

50-61 at Brigham Young. 20 TOs, we shot 32.1%, 3-15 on threes. Urui was in foul trouble all night and scored only 1 point, and Cicc did not play nearly as well as usual.

Oh well, I guess I didn’t expect to go undefeated.

68-72 at Cincinnati. 5 players in double figures, 42 RBs, but -7 TOs, and foul trouble did us in.

Our injured players should be back for our next game.

December 25

73-69 at Pitt. 27, 6 for Sann in his first game back. Urui was in foul trouble again and Sann just took over. 21, 2, 3 for Cicc. 41 and 12. It was a battle. Our two returning players tired late, and Pitt mounted a very good comeback. The final score was as close as it got though. Returning players usually need a game or two to get their legs back. There is nothing quite like game conditions.

103-95 in OT over #11 Michigan ST here. It got to OT when Pryb made 2 free throws at the end of regulation. 29, 4, 4 for Cicc, 17, 10, 3 for Pryb, 17, 6, 8 for Urui, 16, 4, 2 for Sann. Sann, Rosa and Robt all fouled out. Stah Wize had to play more minutes than he has ever played for us, and he responded with 11 points. Demu twisted his ankle and was only able to play 11 minutes. We could have used him. Yet another OT win!

January 8

76-57 over Washington here. 18, 8 for Pryb, 19 for Cicc, 143 each for Robt and Sann. 8 TOs.

79-71 at #11 UCLA. Solid play all around, 46 RBs (+21).

We have not yet lost while at full strength.

We dropped to #2 after our back to back losses and we have stayed there, behind Kansas. RPI is #3.

January 15

55-43 at Washington ST. 19 for Sann, 14, 10 for Robt.

71-55 over #12 Arizona here. 17 each for Urui and Cicc, 16, 7 for Pryb, 13, 12, 3 for Robt. 42 RBs.

January 22

72-70 at #13 Arizona ST. Robt hit a 6 footer at the buzzer. We were down 17 early, 6 at the half, but we came back in the 2nd, then nearly gave it away. We had 7 with between 7 and 13 points. +11 RBs.

We are alone in 1st place in the Pac 12.

75-47 over California here. 31, 6, 3 for Cicc. 37 and 11.

January 29

80-49 over Colorado here. 23, 10, 3 for Pryb, 14, 3, 8 for Urui. 9 TOs.

Ales Sann strained a calf muscle. Out about 2 weeks. Wize and Demu will get his minutes.

69-83 at #24 Oregon. 18, 3, 3 for Cicc, 20 for Urui. 21 TOs, poor play inside, mostly due to fouls. We still haven’t lost while at full strength but we seem to need to be at full strength.

Cicc is #6 on the Norton list, Robt #25,Urui #30.

February 5
62-53 at Oregon ST. 8 players made solid contributions. 12, 13 for Robt. 43 RBs.

And CRASH! Second computer dies in less than a month, and takes this dynasty with it. I now have one viable computer, and it's old, too.

I did what I wanted to do with this dynasty. I demonstrated that a team composed of only foreign players can compete at the highest level. Utah got to the national title game this season and possibly had a better team this season.

So farewell to Akim.

I knew these computers were getting near the end of their lives. Been thinking of getting new ones. I'll shop in January. In the meantime, I've started a new dynasty on my last living computer. Stay tuned, it's called, "Point Guard"!
