Interestingly, this was Cannelton (the 2nd smallest school in Indiana, enrollment: 64) beating New Harmony (the smallest school in Indiana, enrollment: 56). Crazy, crazy, crazy. Even in an era of "Class Basketball" in Indiana, these tiny schools refuse to consolidate with larger local schools because they all think they can still become (eventually) another Milan (or Hickory, depending on whether you know Indiana basketball lore or are just a fan of Hoosiers).
Incidentally, I attended Perry Central High School, about twenty miles north of Cannelton in tiny Leopold, Ind. Our school (consolidated in 1966 from about forty tiny "town schools") had 9th-12th enrollment of 500 or so, despite being located in a town with a population of 82.
