GP2X Port

Postby pughead » Sun Jul 01, 2007 2:35 pm

This is going to show my gross ignorance for programming, but I was wondering about the possibility and/or the interest level for porting Wolverine Studios titles to the GP2X.

To sum it up for the uninitiated, the GP2X is linux-based, handheld platform. The dev kit is freely available and there are no licensing fees for creating titles.

I would be willing to pay $50.00 per title for any of the WS sims on the GP2X. I can't think of a better title than DDSB to play on my GP2X during long trips or long waits.

IMHO it would be a perfect match.

Thoughts from Gary and the team or fans of Wolverine titles?

From the GP2X.org wiki: The ARM940T is used by GPH's implementation of Linux to control video processing. Using the 940T core in Linux for other tasks apart from video processing is difficult but possible. Accessing the hardware directly makes it easier to use both CPUs.

We appreciate the interest but at this time we are concentrating on Windows compatible products.
