FOH Importing Data: Question

I am still a "newbie" at this simulator stuff. I purchased the FOH 2016, and I'm currently running a league/season with six other guys (using the ratings for 2014/15). The intent is keep the league going for years, using our current rosters.

My question is, do I need to purchase FOH 2017 in order to use the next season's ratings? And, if so, can I just import my data from FOH 2016 so I don't have to plug it all in again?
