Conversion csv—>json

I need some help regarding the conversion from csv to json. I am using the converter supplied from Wolverine Studios and the conversion json to csv works fine but when I am done manipulating the csv file because the draft classes are in general way to big with more than 2000 players. I load the csv file in Excel and make the adjustments meaning deleting all lines I do not want in my draft class. When I am done I save the file in Excel as a csv file. When I try to convert that file from csv to json the file the converter created has no players in it. What am I doing wrong - please help.
