Does age factor into a players performance? Sorry I should've asked this alongside experience. Also is their a team chemistry feature under the hood? Ie players who play on the same team for a number of seasons perform better over time because I know this exists in other sport simulators.

Experience matters for performance. Age only matters for skill progression/regression.

There is no effect for players staying with the same team.

How does skill progression/regression vary with age? Is it just that older guys will tend to progress less/regress more, or is it more complicated than that? (for example, do the youngest draftees tend to progress more in their first training camp than guys who are already 24 year old?)

Younger players have better chances of making good strides. The first few camps are when they have the highest chance to make huge gains. Some players will keep their potential longer, which means they could have potentially high camps nearly their entire career. But in general older players have better chances of just maintaining, where as unlucky or really elderly players will start to see massive drops in ratings.
