'The program encountered an error' message

I've just completed the Wildcard games for a 36 team 18 game League I manage.

I accessed the game this morning, and all was fine, but when I tried to open it this evening I got the following message.....

**The program encountered an error.
Please make sure you are running the latest version of the application.

Anybody seen this before? What can have happened in the 12hrs since I last opened the game to cause this?

Additional information.....

I'm running version 1.0.5. So I suspect the obvious answer would be to update to 1.0.6?

But I'm confused as to why this has become an error today, and worried about the impact of updating midseason.

You can try reregistering things: viewtopic.php?f=214&t=26122

Upgrading to the latest version can't hurt... but it may be safer to do it at the beginning of a season.
