I don't intend for this to be a typical dynasty. Those are too much work, this will be more of a series of snapshots from a career. You can expect inconsistent updates, and formatting issues. It is actually more like a cliff's notes of the career for me. The career is based on the Lafayette Leopards of the Patriot League, starting in 2016. I'm four years in as I start thi, but a brief recap.
2016: The initial roster finished 12-17 (8-10). We signed a PG, Cory Watkins (#1390, nationally) with our 1 scholarship.
2017: Year 2, finished 15-15(8-10). Recruits: Matt McClain-SG (#1046); Sam Deverage-SF (#1376); Charles Bekale-SF (#1160); Larry Price-SG (#1464); Jason Howell-PG (#1721)
2018: Year 3, finished 13-18 (7-11). Recruits: Jermaine Bryant-SG (#1418); Matt Lewis-C (#1488); Benjamin Orr-C (#1033); Jasper Sanders-SF (#1386)
In 2018, Charles Bekale was the Patriot League Freshman of the Year, Player of the Year, and 1st team selection. In 2019, things clicked and the team went 22-9 (12-6) winning the Patriot League tournament, and securing the NCAA tournament bid. We lost to #4 seed Ohio State. Other items of note, senior SG Dean Potter scored 21 pts in the regular season finale to reach 1005 pts for his career. He graduated as the leading scorer in Lafayette history (all four years of it so far).
As the calendar turns to the 2019-2020 season we have a roster comprised almost entirely of players I've recruited. Just one original roster guy left, Anthony Tarver (SF), but he was just ruled academically ineligible. Jasper Sanders transferred out after a promising freshman year.
