1/1/1914: 2-0 start. We beat two good teams, one away, one at home.
Galilee was great. We get a couple of week there in the summer. I wish it was more.
1/15: 16-1, 6-0, #13, RPI #11. 1 up on 2nd, 2 up on three other teams.
Henry Ford is a good, progressive man. Workers in most factories work 9 hour days for $2.40 a day (In New England’s textile mills it’s MUCH worse, 55 hours a week for $11 is the norm.). He just instituted an 8 hour day for $5 a day. Hope that spreads. Josephus does, too. He believes that if we pay higher wages our workers will be able to purchase more of our products.
1/29: 19-2, 9-1. #13, RPI #8. +12.0 PPG, +11.4 RBs, +1.8 TOs. 2 game lead in the A10. We lost to Dayton on a night when the shots wouldn’t fall.
2/12: 23-2, 13-1, #10, RPI #10. Jobe is back starting, Gloe is first big man off the bench, and for now it’s working really well. 3 game lead in conf.
2/26: We end the regular season 27-2, 17-1. #8, RPI #5. +14.4 PPG, +13.0 RBs, +2.4 TOs. We win the A10 by 4. Tev Jett leads us with 15.7 PPG, 4.9 assists. Ty Jenk gets 13.5. PF Kyle Smey gets 12.0. Seth Hixx leads in RBs with 7.2.
