3/9: We play #12 seed Washington ST, 8-20, 3-15, in the 1st round.

82-60. Never a game. 7 with 8 or more. +8 RBs, +7 TOs.

#4 seed Arizona, 19-8, 12-6, in the quarter finals. We won by 19 here, lost by 6 in OT there.

3/10: 82-67. 6 players had 11 or more. 47 RBs, 8 TOs.

#1 seed, #6 ranked UCLA, 26-3, 16-2, in the semifinals. They won by 10 at our place.

3/11: 56-68. Their D stifled us. Suth had 17, no one else had more than 9.

24-8, 11-7, RPI #19.

3/12: #7 South. We play #10 seed Marquette, 17-12.

3/17: 71-68. After the first two minutes we never led until Ken Carr’s 3 won it for us with 2.2 to play. 19, 6, 3 for Carr, 16, 16 for Simm.

#2 seed UCLA, 28-4, in the 2nd round. They’ve beaten us twice so far this season.

3/19: 23 for Suth. We never led, but we kept it close all night. Got it down to one possession, with the ball, four times late, but couldn’t convert on any of those occasions.

4/3: #3 Duke beat UCLA for the title.

4/4: Awards: Ryan Simm makes PAC 12 1st team, and I get COY.

4/9: Ohio ST wants us but I see nothing to be gained by going there. I’d leave California for the right school, but not just to make a lateral move.

1st artificial heart implanted in a human.

4/17: Golda Meir becomes Israel’s head of state.

Prague Spring is put down by the Soviets.

4/18: Nixon begins carpet bombing Cambodia.

4/23: I ask for a facilities upgrade. No.

25-9, 11-7. Overall, I’m 231-92, .715, after 10 years.
