3/6: We play #8 seed Air Force, 10-18, 7-11, first.
3/7: 80-77. WAY too close, and I am not happy. 25 for Sill, 15, 8 for Robb, 12, 11 for Cuye. But we let them shoot 45% and we had 17 TOs. I expect better.
#5 seed Colorado ST, 15-13, 9-9, in the semis. They won by 13 there, so we have a score to settle.
3/8: 78-73. We didn’t play well- again! 23 for Sill, 22 for PG Tag Alan, 13, 11 for Robb. But 17 TOs again, and poor D.
We’ll need to play better to beat #3 seed, #23 ranked New Mexico, 23-8, 11-7. We split with them in the regular season.
3/9: 89-82, and the title. We led all the way, by as many as 19. Not happy with the D, but our O was not to be denied. 21, 6 for 6th man Wes Loer,
17, 3, 6 for Alan, 13, 9 for Mack.
24-6, 14-4, #13, RPI #15.
3/12: #4 West. We play #13 Mount Mary, 21-9.
3/17: 77-60. 18, 11 for Robb, 14 each for Cuye and Mack.
#12 seed UMass, 23-8, won in an upset. They’re next.
3/19: 72-64 and my first trip to the Sweet Sixteen. 13, 19 for Robb, 16, 8 for Sill, 17 for Loer, 14, 3, 8 for Alan, 10 RBs for Cuye. 49 RBs.
#9 seed Ohio ST, 21-11, shocked #1 Louisville.
3/24: 77-64. 22 for Alan, 16, 5, 3 for Sill, 10, 11 for Cuye, 14 for Loer. They focused on Robb, and they stopped him, but we found the open man.
#3 seed, #3 ranked (How does that happen?) Gonzaga, 32-4, in the Elite Eight. They can play, but we feel like if we play our game we have a shot.
3/26: 78-83. Our D let us down in the 2nd half, gave up 54. 21 for Sill, 12 each for Alan and Mack. 17 TOs.
4/3: #14 Missouri wins it all.
4/4: Awards: Ben Robb makes Conf. 1st team. Diga Sill and Mo Mack make 2nd. I get Conf. COY.
4/9: Moving to Oklahoma ST in the Big 12. Bigger budget, better conference. We’ll need to rebuild, but that’s fine.
4/23: Tried to do some late recruiting but no luck.
I ask for $. No.
27-7, 14-4, Elite Eight. Overall, 109-49, .690.
