3/9: We play #8 seed NC ST, 20-10, 10-8, in the quarter finals. We won by only 10 at our place.
3/10: 103-84. 31, 14 for Rayn, 23 for SF Ron Dory, 13, 11 for PF Josh Riva.
#4 seed, #13 ranked Syracuse, 22-6, 12-6, in the semis. We won by 9 there, but this is a tough match up for us.
3/11: 78-77. We led most of the way, and it was not in doubt late. They hit a three at the buzzer, and a three on the possession before that. 22, 11 for Rayn. All 5 starters played well.
#3 seed, #14 ranked GA Tech, 22-8, 12-6, upset Duke. We play them for the title. They won by 5 there. We need to contain their backcourt.
3/12: Worst D of the season, 85-101. They killed us out side, 21 threes.
28-5, 15-3, #2, RPI #1. We should get a #1, but we probably needed to win the title game to be #1 overall, although the other top teams lost, too. Everyone has at least 4 losses.
#1 Overall! We play 18-13 New Hampshire.
3/16: 89-60. Never a game. 24 each for Rayn and Rand. 48 RBs, 9 TOs.
#8 seed NC ST, 21-11, in round 2.
3/18: 71-68. We were flat all night. 24, 10 for Rayn, 16, 19 for Riva. 49 RBs. Our first 30 win season!
#4 seed, #10 ranked Ohio ST, 28-6, in the Sweet Sixteen.
3/23: 87-95 despite 49 and 16 for Rayn. We just didn’t play D.
4/3: #3 Michigan ST wins the title.
4/4: Awards: Al Rayn is ACC POY, Frosh OY, and 1st team. Josh Riva made 2nd team. I was named COY.
4/23: I ask for $. We get $25,000!
30-6, 15-2, Sweet Sixteen. Overall, 118-51, .698.
