This file needs to be named historical.mdb and placed in your DDSPB18/setup folder. If this file is present in that location you will be able to access Matchup Maker and Tournament Maker modes and if starting a new league with a custom roster file if the uniqueID settings in the roster file match those of the historical file then historical data will be imported into your new league as well.

This is crashing my program. Can't get past the setup screen. Says The Microsoft Jet database engine cannot find the input table or query 'Nonplayers'.

It looks like the historical file only goes up to 2015, it does not include the 2016-2017 or 2017-2018 rosters.

Also, it does not appear to have accurate staff or coaches, they are all fictional.

Are you trying to create a historical league? I just setup a league in 1995 (just a random year) and also started a game in Matchup Maker mode so where/how are you getting this error?

The historical file does contain the 2016-17 stats in the SeasonStats table (they are listed as seasonID 2016) and it does not contain rosters of any sort. It is only used as a historical database for the historical replay league setup, the Matchup Maker/Tournament Maker modes or to import data in a matching custom roster file. If you are looking for roster files you need to look into the roster mod template/file in the other post.

No coaches are contained in the file - if that is a task someone wanted to take on I would be glad to talk with them about how we could work that into the file

I think I was confused. The current roster and coaches are contained in the template files in the other thread, right? I tried creating a new file with that and it looked like an accurate roster with coaches.

Yes they are two different things - the roster templates are for building a custom roster file (for example the 2017-18 season) while the historical file is for all of the other items I listed above

I'm using the demo and i'm only seeing 1976 as the start year. Is this correct because i'm using the demo or did i do something wrong?

Yes the demo does not allow you to choose any season you want

I am honestly just trying to set up a 2017 league. I tried standard and custom. I have to concur with some of the other posters. I am not sure what the benefit of this was. Makes it pretty complicated for your non power users.
