Game still defaults to fictional team names, courts, owners (these are all things I updated in the teams30 file). I imported the graphics mod also but, as I said above, it doesn't automatically pick those things up either. I can go in and change the courts, etc but I thought the whole point of the file was to do this automatically.

I don't understand what you mean by clicking on teams30? Teams30 should not be its own file - it should be part of whatever roster mod file you are using (sounds like ratingsimport.mdb)

My mistake. Was trying to recreate steps from memory. You are correct, I click on ratingsimport and go from there. The fields I have modded (and I have double checked that it is the correct file and changes have been saved) just aren't showing.

MDPlus is a must! I've messed around with other database editors and have yet to find one that works with this game as effectively. Small note, sometimes line changes won't save until you've edited another line (could not tell you why) so if edits don't seem to be occurring, try going to another line and just re-entering the value (ie if you edited someone and the guy below him has 89 B-IQ then just re-enter 89 in that box).

Do me a favor, zip up your edited roster file and email it to support-at-wolverinestudios-dot-com and we will run it and see what happens

I have edited the "TeamName" element on the "Teams30" tab on both the databases used to start a 2017 game. No matter which one I use to generate the league, the teams do not start with the real nicknames. Indeed the selection list in the game generation never changes from the fictional nicknames included with the game. I thought I would save myself time, however I have wasted a couple of hours trying to get these nicknames correct instead of having to edit the real names in every time.

What am I doing wrong?

Did you select "custom league" when setting up your game?

Did you download version 1.2? I know there were some issues with 1.1 with regard to roster file imports.

Yes, I selected custom league. I did not notice the verison 1.2 so I updated to that and tried again. Still no luck. Everything works as intended except for the nicknames. The list is still that of the fictional names. When I change the names, save, exit the game and restart it, it works. Only the nicknames aren't working properly.

And now it is working as intended. My deduction is that I had to save one new league after I upgraded to ver 1.2. Anyway, thanks for the prompt response and fixes.

What program are you using to edit the file?
