Where do I put the file? I've placed it everywhere to no avail.

Edit: Nevermind. I had to put it in the folder where saved games go not in the folder where the game is installed.

I must be doing something wrong because when I go to start a career it tells me there is no historical file. Where does the file go?

Did you move it to the location referenced in the first post? You open it with they game, not the file directly.

Thanks for this. With the demo I know I was actually able to successfully play this back to 1950 with working drafts in subsequent years.

I'm a pretty big historical game buff, which was why I chose to buy this over other sims. I guess my question now is, could I possibly get some insight as to how this was compiled? Did you work off a specific website or database? I'd really like to extend this back to 1920. I'd be willing to put in the work, just would be helpful to know if there is a good starting point.

Sorry, thought I replied to this. This was made using excel roster files as a base. The data was on a laptop from long ago. You’re best option to gather the data is to convert the Json to excel (or work directly in the json) and build on the data. Happy to help you with any specific questions.
