Depth chart logic when simming

Depth chart logic when simming

Sorry if I missed this somewhere but I tried scouring the forums for posts on the topic.

I'm playing demo mode with the NFL mods installed trying to find the best settings for realistic stats. I think I'm getting there for total team stats but when simming games/season, the AI doesn't seem to do much substituting. I've set my master depth chart and looked through the formation depth charts to be sure everything is filled.

I'm playing as the Packers and Rodgers passed for roughly 3100 yards, 31 TDs. He was injured for a couple weeks so Hundley also had 650 passing yards and 2 TDs.

Jordy Nelson had 73 catches, 1400 yards and 12 TDs
Davante Adams had 58 catches for 930 yards and 15 TDs
I left Martellus Bennett as the TE and he had 73 catches for 650 yards and 3 TDs

The entire rest of the team split 3 TD passes on 74 completions.

Randall Cobb as the third wideout only ended up with 11 catches and the #2 TE had 19 catches.
Ty Montgomery led all RBs with 13 catches.

Is there any way to adjust the AI when simming so they sub more? Or must I make subs in the different formations? I just assumed there was some sort of fatigue during games that would allow for more subbing but it seems like the master depth chart players get 90% of everything. Rushing on the other hand turned out pretty good as far as splitting carries so it's mainly the third string or lower WRs that get largely ignored.

I would also like to add this; when re-organizing your depth chart after the off-season, the AI seems to leave higher OVR players off.

I had the AI set them (I was being lazy), and they kept my two 86 OVR CBs on the bench... and they have players start multiple positions.

I know I could easily solve this by doing it myself

Yeah I noticed having the AI do your depth charts is a little off. They leave some third string spots empty and my DBs were a little strange too. I just hit the button then went in and fixed the rest which was quicker than doing everything by hand. I'd also check your KR and PR defenses. They put my starting WR in there as #1 KR which I definitely don't want.

Also keep in mind that depending on your strategy and play calling it will affect which players make an impact. For example if you run a lot of 3WR sets then your 3rd WR will make more of an impact as opposed to if you are running 2-WR formations.
