Very basic question for New player

I'm totally new to this. I've done my draft and have my roster and before I go into designing playbooks I just want to name a starting team - or at least a QB as in my first pre season game my rookie QB was selected to start. So how do I control team selection, please?

Depth Charts are where the first, second, and third string players are set. In the strategy section you can dictate whether you play mostly starters or play backups.
