HTML Issues

HTML Issues

Postby Robmeister89 » Sat Dec 23, 2017 2:42 pm

So a few things..

1. Auto-Load HTML isn't working.. I keep getting an error while its generating HTML pages.

2. When turned off, the league file uploads just fine..

3. Export HTML doesn't export everything like its supposed to.. no players (yes they're turned on), no conference logos, team pages, and game logs are not exported...

4. If you go to a boxscore (http://cfa-football.com/league/Boxscore ... ml?id=9973) notice the <strong> tags aren't working...

5. League Stats are not taking on the styles from the rest of the pages: http://cfa-football.com/league/LeaguePassingStats.html and http://cfa-football.com/league/TeamLeag ... Stats.html

6. This is on is a little off topic but needs attention.. what good is it to have conference names if they pro bowl teams won't get overwritten? http://cfa-football.com/league/Boxscore ... l?id=10272
We don't have a western and eastern conference anymore.. Oh and conference logos are missing here...

For #4 Removed the strong tags.

For #1, #2, #3 The export HTML is still the old version. The new pages are published by clicking the publish button from the home menu. I'll take a look at the export local since I know some people still want the items published locally, but some of the other options just need to be removed since they're handled by the publish now.

For #5 those have always been that way. They're built using different markup to make them sortable online.

For #6 I'll have to look into that.

There's an issue with your response to 1, 2 and 3...

Auto-load just plain does not work. Why not? Could you look into this? If you need to download our league file and check it out please do but I never had any issues with publishing using PF16.

Clicking on "export html" works but doesn't export all pages. I've ALWAYS done it this way in PF16 and player pages, team pages and game logs ALWAYS export and I upload them manually. In PF18 they are not being exported whatsoever. I've clicked the button and exported html pages several times. They never get exported.

There was a bad GameResult for one of the games in your file. Not sure how it happens to have a blank play by play, but I put a fix in the patch to work around the issue. Could be a conversion issue.

If that's the case I'll have to archive the HTML from PF16. Thanks for the response.

Just a minor issue here but Skills are not showing up on player cards...
http://cfa-football.com/league/Players/ ... l?id=11997

Also got an error right at the end of the publish.. everything seems to have uploaded, though.. it was doing logos (I believe) as the last thing before the error.

The player cards should look like http://profootballsimulator.com/leagues ... ml?id=1172

The skills, etc. all show up for me. May want to try again.

They don't look like that in CFA (http://cfa-football.com/league/Players/ ... l?id=15055) or WWPF (http://www.wwpf.us/league/Players/Player.html?id=30943). All skills are 0. Could it have something to do with the seasons not starting yet?

Also, the old "players are a foot taller than they really are" HTML bug is back. Check out the CFA player card above, my QB is 6' 6", not 7' 6".

Got an error while trying to publish the league file/html...

Bin file uploaded fine, and the files were created just fine but I got an error when the first set of html pages were uploading at 93%.

I exported html pages and uploaded them just fine through FTP. I would rather not have to keep doing this since its faster to do it all at once in the game..

I would try creating a new league, pointing it at a different folder on your FTP server, and see if it works. It could be your existing FTP folder has a different structure, or different permissions that is causing issues.
