Can't sign free agents

For some reason, no team in my league can sign a free agent. I click on the "Sign Player(Active)" or "Sign Player(Practive)" with the player I want highlighted, and nothing happens. It's in the Regular Season but no games have been played. My rosters aren't maxed out and I still have cap space. What could I be doing wrong?

If someone can help, please reply ASAP! I am nearing ending my prep for the season (finally!) but this is a huge road block

What kind of league? Online, career, sandbox?

So as is, we cannot sign Free Agents at all??

You can bid on them, but when signing in-season there are a few different buttons (from the player page, from the roster page, etc.) and some pick up on the selected team in the top bar and some pick up only if there is a single non-cpu team. Should work with all of them after the next patch.
