DDS:CF/DDS:PF Troubleshooting

If you find the game crashing before opening to the main screen you can go to:

%localappdata%

Search for Wolverine_Studios and delete that folder, or the folders within (You may see a pro and/or college folder). That is the folder where the user settings are stored for the game. Deleting the files causes them to be rebuilt so it will not affect any of your leagues. In some cases these settings files can be corrupted by windows during a save... deleting them fixes the issue.

Thanks so much to those who helped me debug this issue!

Another possible fix for initial crashes:

Search your computer for the file eSellerateControl365.dll and note the location. Then from a command prompt go to that directory and type REGSVR32.EXE eSellerateControl365.dll and you should get a message saying that it was successfully registered. Then try the game from there.

If you find the game not letting you proceed with games:

Autoset/reset/check the depth charts of any team that may have set to use master.

In some cases the master depth charts are not getting updated due to injuries, etc. and it will cause a crash.

If you find you're having trouble loading a league:

In the My Docs folder with your savegame (the yourleaguename.bin file) there is a .bak file - that is a backup of your latest save.

Move/Rename the .bin file to another folder and rename the .bak file to .bin then you should be able to load your league again.

Possible other sources of issues:

Virus scanners, fire walls, windows defender, etc. Also, OneDrive or other folder sync tools that could lock files. (Add DDS games to the exceptions list to see if this resolves issues.)

Also, try running games as administrator to ensure the correct folders, etc. are installed in your My Docs folder.

Uninstall/Reinstall of the games sometimes helps if files were not installed in correct locations

For Display Issues:

Adjust Windows Scaling... sometimes having it turned up too high will cause the game to render incorrectly
