I used to play Pro Football Simulator (PFS) from 2009. So the question that I have is how similar are the two games? That is if anyone even remembers.
Can you still play with the USFL format (14 or 18 teams)? Can you still export all the data, such as player ratings, stats and whatnot to CSV or database files?
And lastly, does anyone know if you can still purchase a license for PFS?

DDSPF has its origins in PFS, so pretty much everything you could do in PFS you can do in DDSPF.
