Same team receiving kickoff to start game, and second half

I simmed a game today and the same team that took the opening kickoff received it to start the 3rd quarter as well.

Anyone else have this same issue?

15:00 - OVERTIME

15:00 --- MIA - 26 Kickoff of 70 yards. Returned by McClure, R. for 26 yards.

Here are the kickoffs from each half (plus OT) - Now I know Overtime has its own coin toss in real life, but the opening kickoff and the 2nd half kick off were the ones in question. I tried to just upload screenshots, but it said the boards upload limit was reached.

I've run dozens of tests and can't get this to happen. Was this a simmed game, or a played out game? In a played out game if you pick "Kickoff" it will give the deferral to the other team, in which case they'll receive twice.

It was a played out game.

So if you want to avoid this, just select defer instead of kickoff?

Correct, kickoff means you're making a decision and you're deciding to kickoff. Which gives the second half choice to the other team which will always take the ball.

If you want to receive in the second half you have to select defer.
