Sandbox - Same as Career?

This is a new post to a discussion AKH and I were having.

It was my understanding that there is no retirement or player aging, much less multiple seasons/league records in Sandbox. However, AKH said Sandbox was the same as Career except you can control every team. Please clarify

sandbox works same way as career except you can control pretty much everything. (Players age the same etc.)
