Is there scouting error even on FULLY scouted players? I'm asking because I have 2 CB's who during the recruiting phase were assessed as having "Exceptional" speed but now on Signing Day one has a speed rating of 79 and the other 82. Meanwhile a SS that i signed was "Remarkable" speed and he came in at an 88. Seems a little backwards ?

Yes, fully scouted means it's all "on" but it doesn't mean it's any more correct than any other player you're scouting.

Not quite sure I understand what u mean? Especially since the guide says a fully scouted player will give the most accurate assessment

scouting is position relative, you cant compare CB and SS reports.

When you scout it is an average of all the players at that position's speed

SO, for example, the slowest CB might be 62 and the fastest might be 92 so a player of 77 speed would be considered average speed. So if you recruited a CB whose speed is 'average' then he would have 77

for SS, the slowest might be 50 and fastest 84 so 67 would be average. So if you recruit a SS with remarkable speed, that might just be 82 because 82 is remarkable compared to 67

Ok cool let's take the SS out of the conversation. Still, doesn't quite make sense since the player i mentioned in my post was Exceptional which is a higher grade than Remarkable and came in at a 79 Speed which is lower than your hypothetical Remarkable>82 example. Just doesn't equate

The way I understand it is that the words "Remarkable", "Exceptional", etc... aren't tied to a specific rating but more of a rating range. Meaning Exceptional may be in the range of 79-82 and one of the players caught the high end while the other caught the lower end.

Yes.

for that year, for your particular iteration of the game, for that position, 79 is in the remarkable range.

I was just using those numbers as an example. I wasn't saying that remarkable was definitely 82 or something.

Clearly you're not paying attention. The player in question was rated Exceptional not Remarkable. Secondly he was a high-end 4 star recruit and 79 just doesn't cut it. Makes no sense but it's cool i'm done with it.

Players can have 4 or 5 stars and still not be good. It's all part of the fun.
