New DDS:PB 18 League Coming
Posted: Tue Dec 26, 2017 12:44 pmWithin the next couple weeks, we'll be launching and taking applications for a new 30 team DDS:PB 18 multiplayer league. Some of the best and most well-known DDS GMs will be taking part.
A Few Notes
1. This will be a media required league
You'll need to write at least one article a month, and comment on at least one article a month. Without activity and immersion, MP leagues die. This will be tracked via spreadsheet that GMs can access/view at any time. There's a possibility that scouting for the draft will be dependent on activity as well, though that's still TBD.
2. Ownership of DDS:PB 18 will be required
It's simply too much work for simmers to input items for teams without the game. You'll also be at a huge disadvantage without the game, having to rely on the HTML. We do allow short periods without the game and manual input, because real life gets in the way sometimes.
3. Initial signup will require you to list your Top 5 teams
Certain franchises are more popular than others, so rather than having 6 or 7 guys all fighting over the Lakers, for example, we utilize a Top 5 listings system and do our best to match things up so as many people get a Top 3 choice as possible.
4. The league will be drama and cheat free.
A little trash talk happens in every league, but consistent trolling/antagonizing will result in eviction. Cheating means immediate expulsion and permanent banning from the league.
5. No re-rating of players
While some leagues like to rerate players based on real life, that won't happen here. In our view, every league is its own organically developing universe, and should be free of artificial manipulation.
