Tips on making substitutions

Tips on making substitutions

Postby Seazyceaz » Tue Mar 06, 2018 6:47 pm

Does anybody have tips on making substitutions? Sometimes the game will sub a player in who I don’t have in my rotation, I will slow the game down to 1 and hit timeout but if u don’t hit functions quick enough the players names are grey and I can’t make a sub. Is there an easier way to do this besides burning an extra timeout half the time?

This is becoming a major annoyance. On the second timeout I made my subs, and then the game dubbed the players I wanted out (who are not in my rotation keep in mind) back in on the next whistle.

Do you have the option to allow computer subs turned off?

There's an option to make all of the substitutions yourself. Up on top somewhere.

You can only make substitutions during stoppage of play (e.g. after a foul or turnover or during a timeout). At other times the sub page will be grayed out.

Ok thanks. Seems the best way to go about it is to slow down the game speed when wanting to make a sub and then pause during a dead ball

No, you don't need to do slow down the game speed to make a substitution. When there is a pause/dead ball, just click on the Sub/Strategy icon and make the substitution. Then come back to the 2D court and click the advance arrow to resume play.

First time I had the game stop at all dead balls/took off CPU subbing for me, my opponent had a player foul out and I was unable to go forward. I tried to enable CPU subbing and it was still stuck. Had to exit the game. Also it kind of stinks having to hit the CTRL button 100 times throughout the game, I wish there was a ‘strict player rotation’ feature that didn’t go off of the game plan enless done manually, or at least the ability to set subs for the next dead ball, that way you didn’t have to hit resume every deadball (or keep going into the options and changing it when you get close to the time u want to sub)

I tried to include a video of my situation but it said the extension is not allowed
