Getting my team in a season tournament

New to the game. Still playing my first season. I noticed, however, that my team was not put into one of the several tournaments that happen towards the beginning of the season. For next season, how do I ensure that my team gets booked for one of those tournaments?

You can't ensure this. Low ranked teams (Team Prestige) are less likely to get invited, but if you have a good season with one of those teams, it helps.

Oh! So it's a "by invitation only" type of thing? So if I am playing with a team that has a prestige of 3 stars, it's not likely that I'll get invited?

What's the Team Prestige? That's a big factor, and, again, your season record, and conf., tournament progress, are also factors.

Obviously, my team was Michigan State and we always get invited to the in season tourneys, sometimes the 2k classics, and sometimes the Preseason NIT tourney.

I am playing Boise State, and our prestige is only 2.5 stars, and the conference is 3 stars. I am assuming that is the issue.

But what is the Team Prestige rating? Look on the Team Info screen. RPI is also a factor.
