Really excited about being able to import a league from the previous version. Will really be able to sink time and longevity in a career to see where it takes me.

This is great for someone like me that likes to micro-manage every aspect of the game.

My question, is when is the best time to import? End of season, May 1 beginning of a next season? Or does it even matter?

I would say to do it on May 1 just because with the AI changes to recruiting and stuff you might not want to do it in the middle of a season

testing the Cb18 beta now and tried importing my 17 save with 1 May date and got the following error:
An unhandled exception occurred: The Microsoft Jet database engine cannot find the input table or query Ratings. Make sure it exists and that its name is spelled correctly

I'm having the same issues.

If you're trying to use like an old mod file with the game that would have replaced the default.dat it's not going to work. I think there is a new version of the mod file and I will ask that they post it in the 2018 mod section

Or just reinstall the beta so that the default.dat file gets put back to the default and then you can import your league if you like

Gary's advice is good, but I installed bloomington's Real World LIGHT mod and it's been working fine for me with no error messages. The new ratings progression tracking within CB2018 has been working for both players and coaches, as designed. The LIGHT mod contains correct names, nickname and logos for all teams, the correct conference names and logos, and actual courts for teams and tournaments. Get it here: viewtopic.php?f=250&t=26597

Also I've transferred several associations created within CB2017 to CB2018 without any problems.

Another question on importing a league......I am close to finishing up a league and will continue to get it to May 1 of the next upcoming year prior to importing per Gary's advice.

My question is, this is a league that does not reflect the move Wichita State had to the American Conference and IUPUI from Summit to Horizon. Is there a way to make this happen in my current league. If there is, would it me best to work the conference changes in ver17 prior to importing into ver18, or better to import and change within ver18?

I would hate to lose my time in this league, but if there isn't a way I would be contemplating on just beginning a new league in ver18.

There's not really a good way to make the switches because the game only allows you to do a one for one swap (and only on May 1) so even though IUPUI, Wichita State (and Valpo I believe) changed conferences I don't know how you would swap them around
