my laptop screen is only supposed to go up to 1600 by 900. However, if you follow these steps you might be able to get the 1920by 1080 mode that allows you to see all the extra information windows on the home screen. it is a true game changer for me!

Go into my settings , display settings, display adapter properties, clicking the monitor tab and then unclick the option hide modes this monitor cannot display, click the adapter tab and click list all modes and click the proper resolution. Hope this helps some people
