Matrix lineup

Can someone help explain what this does and how to make changes? I’m new to this game and I can’t figure out how to make the proper lineup changes. When I’m at the matrix section I can only click minutes I want guys to have and then click generate matrix and it still doesn’t end up with the correct in game lineups. If someone could help a newbie out that would be great!

i am sure there are a couple of ways to do this but i first set my depth chart by clicking the depth button. then i click rotation and click set by minutes. i put in the minutes i want my top ten guys to play. then i click ai suggest sub matrix only. voila! you now have a set rotation. i will look it over and make subtle adjustments but in general the cpu does a pretty good job on this. hope this helps!
