Do you use the real world mod? Because I've heard that instabilities depend on that sometimes

Yes, I use the Real World Mod. It's never created a problem of instability (or any other problem) for me.

There is no instability issue that I know of with DDSCB2018. I play the livin' hell out of this game and it works just fine.

I think you're beating a dead horse. If anyone is running into stability problems they've probably messed around with the game's database and fouled things up on their own.

I just bought both DDSCB and DDSPB on Steam recently and I haven't had any issues really. Like others have said though, save often just in case something does happen is always a good strategy but I think you'll be fine.
