NCAAhoops: Downloaded your mod and just played an exhibition game (2008 UCLA at 1989 Arizona). Great to have those guys playing. Here's what happened:

Matt Muehlebach scored Arizona’s first 8 points and gave the Wildcats a solid lead that they continued to expand throughout the first half. By the end of the first 20 minutes of play, the ’89 Arizona Wildcats led the ’08 UCLA Bruins by a commanding 47-29 score. The Wildcats outshot the Bruins 60% to 32% in the half. Muehlebach had 15 at the half and teammate Sean Elliott added 10. C Kevn Love scored 13 of UCLA’s 29 points in the half while SG Russell Westbrook had been held scoreless but only played 11 minutes after picking up 3 fouls. SF Josh Shipp also got tagged with 3 fouls in the half.

With 17 minutes to play Kevin Love picked up his 3rd foul so that 3 of their starters were now relegated to the bench. But the Bruins made a comeback trialing 59-46 with 13 minutes left. Arizona’s C Anthony Cook stepped up to frustrate UCLA’s effort. UCLA had another run that cut the Wildcat’s lead to 10 with 7 minutes remaining. UCLA crept to within 6 15 78-72 with 2:42 to go. Neither team could score until Russell Westbrook got free for a 25 footer to make it 78-75 with 1:11 to play. Muehlebach countered on the next possession to put Arizona up 81-75 with 1 minute on the clock. Following a UCLA timeout, the Bruins screened to give Darren Collison a good look at the basket and he hit a 14 foot jumper to draw UCLA to within 4. The Bruins fouled on the inbounds pass and Kenny Lofton sunk both shots to make it 83-77. UCLA lofted up three from beyond the arc that missed and each time they grabbed the rebound and cleared it back out. But on the Bruins’ 4th straight miss from outside the ball was tipped out of bounds and awarded to the Wildcats with 5 seconds remaining. So, after dominating the game early, Arizona escaped with a surprisingly close 83-77 win.

UCLA’s shooting improved in the 2nd half so that they finished hitting 42% of their shots throughout the entire game. But even though Arizona’s shooting cooled in the 2nd half, they still hit 48% of their shots and though other team stats were pretty even, that was enough of an edge to seal the victory.

The two centers had impressive games. UCLA’s Kevin Love scoring 20 and pulling down 12 boards while dishing out 3 assists and getting a steal and 2 blocks. Arizona’s Anthony Cook finished with 19 points, 13 rebounds, a steal and 6 blocks. Although Sean Elliott scored 14 for the Wildcats, he nearly cost them the game by going 5 for 24 from the field (and 0 for 12 from 3 point distance).

Sounds like the type of game you might have turned off at half time 47-29 only to been sorry later. Quite a comeback and one of those edge of your seats game.

I find you really have to pay attention if you coach a game and study your opponent because these teams are not just good their great, and can embarrass you if you don't.

NCAAhoops...Since your mod now works great and your installer makes it easy to install, its ready to be put in the MODS section so others can download it.

It's a fun option and one I think many will like using for Exhibition games but even moreso with Tournament Maker.

I agree with PointGuard but I think you said you had one more tweak first. It's up to you, of course.

Yes, I want to put more real life defenses in the 2016-17 teams (the ones I know) as I think some people may enjoy their home town team if they didn't get replaced by a Historical one. With the holiday it will take me a couple of days.

Pretty much done with the mod. Making an instruction manual now.

Also considering a scouting report on the 64 Historical teams you can check before playing an exhibition although you can still scout a team in other ways with the mod, I'm thinking this can save a lot of time. The mod will be released before I complete this but wonder what everyone thinks about this. The report would look something like below in a separate PDF.
Offenses are most run to least run, Defenses, Starters with some info such as per game points , assists, rebounds. Ratings such as scoring, defense, overall, efficiency. Players percentage of 3's shot taken and percentage of 3's made.

SCOUTING REPORT FOR:
2000-01 Duke, National Final, 35-4

FOCUS Balanced
RUN SETS 70%
OFFENSE Princeton,High Post,Motion
DEFENSE Man to Man about 90%, 3-2 Zone
PRESS Full court man

Starters-------------------PTS------ AST/REB------SCR----DEF-----OVR------ EFF------% 3's------3%
PG Jason Williams------15.0------ 5.2/1.9------34------62------4.5------20.1------38.2------40.3
SG Nate James----------12.8------2.3/5.1-------23------58------4.0------13.5------44.8------52.4
SF Mike Dunleavy-------10.8------ 1.8/6.3------21------49------4.0------13.1------45.8------39.1
PF Shane Battier--------12.1------1.5/7.8-------27------65------4.5------14.1------43.2------29.3
C Carlos Boozer---------13.4------1.0/6.2-------26------51------4.5------17.8---------0--------0.0
6 Chris Duhon SG---------7.6------3.5/1.7-------12------61------3.5-------9.2------44.5------47.8
7 Casey Sanders C--------8.1------1.3/3.5-------15------32------4.0------10.1-------0.6-------0.0
8 Matt Christensen C----5.1------ 0.6/3.2-------10------33------4.0-------6.7-------0.3------ 0.0

The first few people to post here about the mod with either suggestions about the scouting report or just why you are interested in a historical mod will get to download it before the official release.

Count me IN!

This is such a unique mod and one that gives us a way to play DDSCB like we've never had before.

Well Done!
