Pretty cool idea. I'll be following this. How are you putting this together?

Also, do you think that a multiplayer league would be feasible for this sim engine? I can't help but think it would work, but wanted to pick your brain on how you think it would work.

I'm running this using Quick Play.

At first my plan was to just pick the golfers I wanted and have the AI play for each one. But...Quick Play runs too rapidly when all golfers in a round are controlled by the AI...you just can't analzyze what's going on hole-by-hole and jot down notes. (I've sent Gary a suggestion that he add a "stop" and "resume" button for Quick Play...not sure how much work that would be for him though.)

So, I am now running this tournament with two golfers (2 of my chosen 8) on AI control and picking another golfer (who isn't one of the chosen 8) under human control. That way the action stops each time my human controlled player has to take a shot and I can see what the other two golfers did and make notes as necessary. Of course, I have to do 4 rounds of this for every one round that I will be reporting...so expect this report to unfold here in the forum rather slowwwlllyyyy.)

As to multiplayer...I've never done multiplayer in any sim game, so I'm probably not the person to ask. I think it's a worthy topic for this forum though, so I suggest you create a thread to get others' to comment and also to see if there is any interest in it.

Spieth—73 (1 over par)
Garcia—74 (2 over par)

[Average score for this round: 70.000]

The 8-by-8 Tournament’s golf analyst Hemsley Tomlinson said, “Watching these four 2-somes battle along the course today was a lot of fun. Some great golf out there. And the winner was in doubt until the final hole by the final 2-some. Tiger’s clean round with 5 birdies deserved top billing. But McIlroy and Mickelson also had clean rounds, just not quite as many birdies. Rose’s 6 birdies showed he was fighting to win this all the way, but his aggressiveness led to the 2 bogies that cost him the win. Johnson and Watson both played well but had some raggedness throughout their rounds. Spieth just never seemed to get untracked this round, but look for him to come on strong on the upcoming courses. And Garcia was in it until he fell apart a little on the back nine. We now move on to Pacific Ocean Links which is an entirely different course, so we’ll see who handles that challenge the best. I’m looking forward to it!”

Hemsley Tomlinson, the 8-by-8 Tournament’s golf analyst, said, "Dustin Johnson seemed like he was in control and would win this tournament outright, but then choked on the final 3 holes to drop into a tie with Rory McIlroy, who had played in the 2nd two-some and had finished his round earlier. Both played the first two holes of the sudden death conservatively. iIt was surprising to see Rory get into trouble on his drive on the 3rd playoff hole since he used a 3-wood rather than a driver. Dustin took advantage of that error and edged him out. With all 8 golfers within 5 strokes of each other, this was a very competitive and exciting round in the 8-by-8 Tournament. From here it's on to Farmington Municipal for the 3rd round of the tournament."
