Setting teams in divisions

Is there a way to do this? I set up a league using one of the custom league sizes and only got teams to conform to West vs. East by renaming the teams according to what division they're in. I'm a bit afraid to expand now because if the custom league size that I move to has divisions, they'll probably be all messed up.

typically in the off-season you can go to "league settings" and drag/drop teams into divisions (if your league is large enough to have divisions)
